Never been here and I've lived up the street from them for over 15 years. Just went in to pick up a parrillada and a potato and bean burrito. My boss had the burrito and LOVED IT!--He is a VERY finicky eater. I had the parrillada and it was savory, hot and fantastic! Lady at the counter was very sweet and the food is unmatched. I'll be having the oysters next time. My only advice is that this place needs more light. It's a bit dark in there.

Almost like a Tarantino movie. A place made out of a Mexican movie. Heavy ambiance but very intriguing. You feel like you are lost in Mexico ?? it’s a gem because you can’t find places like these anywhere in the US. You can tell the food will not disappoint you. Buried on the hills of Oceanside but it’s original.

I ordered the parrillada plate and they gave me very little meat and only three pieces of shrimp. It was basically just red pepper and onions. The meat was also very tough. It you come here make sure you tell them not to be stingy on the meat and shrimp.

I love the ceviche, my favorite is the shrimp with octopus. They have just shrimp and fish as well..very good best ceviche I've had in town.

Many things on the menu that you can't get at every Mexican restaurant, varieties of fish dishes but other things too. Generous portions. Ceviche alone is worth the trip. Mexicans eat there. Tourists probably can't find it.

How in the world does this place rank less than 5 ??? I mean, just look at my pic! F'n the bomb! The waiter/owner (I think, I didn't ask but he acted like it lol) is awesome, very welcoming. Leftovers was the best lunch ever... including the leftover mango Margarita (cus I like getting tipsy at work , yikes!) ... um last part was a joke ;)

If you come for the chips and salsa, then you've come to the wrong place, they're average, but since this is a Marisco's restaurant, then I would highly recommend it, the portions are good and all of the sea food is good, shrimp tostadas are the best, north of baja great beer selection, friendly peeps, and a true south of the border ambiance, for folks who like joes crab shack and such chain establishments, then this place is not for you, you get authentic Marisco's and Mexican food here at good prices.

This place has the best Campechana north of the Mexican border that I've ever had. Its a huge bowl but tremendous amount of pulpo and camarones compared to most places and it comes with an oyster and scallops... re: the atmosphere I put a 5 cuz it's a hole in theWall and I expect funky hole in decor and atmosphere. The food tho is awesome ?
