Mariposa Ice Cream Oceanside

Best ice cream in San Diego.

Over the weekend, my family and I enjoyed a delightful staycation in Oceanside, highlighted by a visit to the OCEANSIDE SUNSET MARKET on Thursday. During our visit, we were introduced to Ben, the owner of Mariposa Ice Cream. All I can say is, wow! The Mango Sorbet was absolutely amazing, and the customer service was truly exceptional. If you ever find yourself at the Sunset Market on a Thursday, make sure to seek them out. And if you're near the pier, a stop by their shop is definitely worth it. Thank you, Ben, for providing such an amazing experience!

Very yummy ice cream and good service. She got the boxes out of storage to find out if the sugar cones had dairy in them for my cousin (they don’t!) which was much appreciated

Cute and super good ice cream. The taste is clearly fresh and you could definitely taste the mint extract. Waffle cones are supernice and crunch and made right in front of us.

Stopped by to get my dog a small vanilla ice cream. I asked what type of ice cream do you have….she points at the sign. I know what flavors that you have I need to know what kind of ice cream it is. She then asked if I can read. Don’t give this place a dime. By the time she told me where it came from I don’t want it.

A good place to have a quick lunch. Affordable prices, close to the pier, beach and other activities. Sometimes can be lines. Unfortunately very outdated and not a clean area. Needs investment for renovating!

Very tasty and so kind! We got ice cream from here to put in our shaved ice from the shop next door since theirs wasn't up yet. Highly recommend both places!

When it’s open I’m sure it’s great. But it’s rarely open.

Not only do they have many delicious flavors...but it is truly a quality ice cream!! Quite the treat!

Absolutely Amazing

Mariposa is IT! I love gelato and ice cream, and Mariposa's is top-notch. It's creamy but light, and flavorful but not sugary. You can absolutely taste high-quality and fresh ingredients. Definitely get it on a waffle cone, and maybe get two scoops.
