Over the weekend, my family and I enjoyed a delightful staycation in Oceanside, highlighted by a visit to the OCEANSIDE SUNSET MARKET on Thursday. During our visit, we were introduced to Ben, the owner of Mariposa Ice Cream. All I can say is, wow! The Mango Sorbet was absolutely amazing, and the customer service was truly exceptional. If you ever find yourself at the Sunset Market on a Thursday, make sure to seek them out. And if you're near the pier, a stop by their shop...
A good place to have a quick lunch. Affordable prices, close to the pier, beach and other activities. Sometimes can be lines. Unfortunately very outdated and not a clean area. Needs investment for renovating!
Mariposa is IT! I love gelato and ice cream, and Mariposa's is top-notch. It's creamy but light, and flavorful but not sugary. You can absolutely taste high-quality and fresh ingredients. Definitely get it on a waffle cone, and maybe get two scoops.
