Rockin' Baja Lobster - Oceanside

Went for friends birthday and overall good experience, good food, served within 10min of order, our server cymon was very attentive to our food order and drinks were cleaned and served, joined on the birthday song for my friend making the experience very pleasant and enjoyable.

Was a little disappointed this visit because food was not hot and service was slow but they did give us a discount. Previous meals there were good and lots of fun so I would return.

The food and service was very good with a beautiful view of the ocean marina, good vibes, with a no rush feeling, just relax and enjoy the food, the service and the veiw!

A fantastic sea food restaurant so close to the beach and many of the local hotels.

This past Saturday we Ordered the shellfish taco sampler. Wife ordered the avocado tacos (she’s a vegetarian). And a pitcher of margaritas. My tacos consisted of 1 shrimp taco which was filled (stuffed quite frankly) with those tiny bay shrimp which was disappointing as they lacked that charbroiled flavor and theirs were several shrimp that were completely mushy. 🤢. The second taco was crab and the meat was totally dry. Like sawdust dry. The last taco was a lobster taco and aside from one quarter sized chunk of lobster it was basically a cabbage, cheese and sauce taco. The one bite with the lobster did taste good though. On my wife’s side the avocado taco was breaded and deep fried which would be fine but they apparently deep fry it in the same oil as the fish so it tasted like fish. Not a great idea when serving a vegetarian. The margaritas were weaker than circus lemonade and tasted like they added sprite or soda water. The cost of everything was also excessive for what you get. I would estimate by a good 20% -25%. All in all the meal was very disappointing and we we will not be back.

Too expensive for what you get in the bucket. $109 for 4 small lobster tails and crab legs, tasteless shrimp and overcooked steak. 3 stars for the great customer service. Unfortunately I won’t be back

Went for happy hour and Kelsey was absolutely amazing and delightful. She filled glasses without request, chips were fresh and seasoned to perfection, Salsa variety didn't disappoint and the food was amazing. Mahi mahi taco has great flavors. Happy hour prices were reasonable for appetizers and drinks $46. Great customer service.

We come here everytime we come to oceanside. Always a pleasant experience and good food. We'll today was a different story. Started off ordering two of their 28.00 Margarona Margarona margaritas. The waitress brings them out and there is no salt on the rim and the is a bug in mine. So I kindly ask if she can take it back and bring a new and also put salt on the rim. She agrees but there is an undertone in her voice. Well less than 2 minutes later she is back with my drink and it has salt on the rim and no bug, but it was pretty fast. Im assuming that the bug was just taken out and they salted a new glass and they pour it into the new glass. That's an assumption. No proof. But I think im right. Anyway to cut this short the my wife chicken Ceasars salad was limps and the chicken was dry and no cheese on it. I got the taste of Baja bucket which I get everytime. Chicken and grilled shrimp was dry and over cooked. Corn on the cob was ice cold. I explained to waitress and all she could say was because they were really busy! No excuse! I was tired from driving all day, but it put a sour yet dry taste in my mouth. The waitress was very short with us and overall not worth our hard earned dollars. Not sure if we will give the another chance!
Update: we came back two days later and they totally redeemed themselves. Food was hot and fresh and delicious! Server was great!
