Says they are open till 9pm but chairs are up by 8:34pm? We showed up at 8:34pm and they said the place is closed. What kind of a BS is this.

A delightful surprise! Wasn't our first choice for dinner but we ended up having an absolutely stunning meal. Ordering is a bit counter intuitive with the hybrid counter service / coursing, but the food more than makes up for it! The caesar salad was a lemony dream and the smokey goat cheese pizza was to die for! Will absolutely be coming back here.

Visit to Ojai found Pinyon. We enjoyed a pizza, and salad for lunch that was outstanding. Their fresh lemonade was delicious and tart from locally grown lemons.
We also got some bread that was freshly baked sourdough baguettes and a free form load. It is the best bread I’ve had in a long time.
Well worth stopping.

Pinyon is a must-go for you next trip to Ojai! The staff there are very kind and laid back, and really know the menu well. We got two pizzas, the giant beans and the broccolini. If you go, GET THE BROCCOLINI! It’s finely cut with small pieces of date and some Calabrian chile, which makes for a super interesting veggie order. They also gave us a free sesame baguette on the way out - these people know their bread!

Best breads and pizza for many miles. But what we really love is the friendly, kind manner of everyone there. Loyal for life.

I can’t deny it… one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had.
The staff was awesome… friendly, knowledgeable, and courteous. The location used to be another sandwich shop and it shows, but they’ve done a great job making it their own space.
I was there with 5 other people, so we ordered a little of everything and tried all their salads and sandwiches. Absolutely delicious. If I could give Pinyon more than 5 stars I would. They know what they’re doing!

My wife and I stopped for dinner this evening (Sunday) at about 6:30. There were about 6 customers in the restaurant. We were asked if we had a reservation, and when we said no, we were told that they did not have any pizza dough. At a pizza restaurant. Hostess was actually pretty unfriendly. Went to Ojai Pizza instead, and had a great dinner.

Great little place in Ojai downtown. Loved the sourdough hearth bread and the porco rosso pizza. The black sesame seed buidino was amazing as well. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.
Not a real ding, but check beforehand on some things, they seem to run out of stuff.
