Came here for lunch for my mother's birthday in early November and had made a reservation. After being seated it took over ten minutes (I timed it) and asking twice to recieve menus for the two of us. They did however compensate us for the wait with a free appetizer. Aside from the poor attention from the staff on the floor and that being inexcusable since they only had two other tables being waited on.... the food was phenomenal! If you like fine dining incorporated with American cuisine I highly recommend this place to stop at while walking around the resort. It was quite a flavorful experience!

I had dinner at the invitation of an acquaintance. The meal at the outdoor table in the evening was fantastic. The food was all delicious and the service was perfect. With the trees and lights in the background, the atmosphere was perfect. It was an unforgettable evening~~

Amazing dining experience at the Oak. Bill Burr was in town doing a show and this was a perfect ending. Elijah brought waters and referred to me by my last name which was very impressive. Victor our waiter did a great job explaining the menu and taking our order. Exceptional food and service.
We ordered the shrimp and Brie for starters and duck, scallops and the New York strip.

Food was excellent, servers friendly, but service iffy. One night our mains didn't come for a very long time. We called our server over who assumed they had come. Food arrived shortly after but missing one item. Figured food at sat somewhere since fish dried out. Next meal ordered drinks and one course at same time. Food came before the wine. Seems communication among serving and kitchen needs to be revamped.

Great view at The Oak, best thing about dining here. Food was excellent. High quality and tasty. Service average. Loud group nearby made conversation difficult. Pricey but that is expected. Still, a good place for dining.

We have not been to dinner at Ojai Valley Inn for a year. We always enjoy the view, food and ambiance but were shocked with prices this time Unbelievable I guess average people will not be able to dine there no more just ELITE I find it disturbing

The food is always incredibly fresh ?, and the scenery is nothing short of breathtaking, with relaxing views of the mountains and the golf course ⛰️⛳. The service is always superb, making each visit a delight ?. I usually go for the yogurt parfait, which is consistently delicious ?, but today I decided to try the breakfast burrito, and it was very good ?. If you’re there on a Sunday, don’t miss the special breakfast buffet—it’s truly impressive ??.

Beautiful view. Service was fine but they seemed overwhelmed. Appetizers were very good but main courses were not as expected for fine dining except for the filet and Demi. Side of Mac and cheese was more like packaged than a good sharp white cheddar mac and cheese. Probably wouldn't go to the Oak again.
Worst service I ever had in a long time. Extremely slow, and mistakes made. At a place like this, with these prices? Avoid at all costs.

Really beautiful and relaxing place to have lunch. The warm rolls are so good. My salmon was undercooked and the server promptly fixed it. Would definitely come back.

We had the wedge salad for a starter. Lettuce was flat & skimpy, no blue cheese crumbles, bacon was skimpy and hard to chew and very little dressing. I ordered the scallops. There were 3 scallops the size of a quarter for $45. They were tasteless & and served in a bed of peas! The service and setting were excellent but were very disappointed with the food preparation.

Did not get checked up on once food was delivered, so could not put in any new requests or ask for certain condiments. Waited on our check for too long and had to ask another waiter for assistance.
The restaurant was fully booked on a Monday evening. We got one of the last open tables the morning before on OpenTable. It was a good evening for al fresco dining. Our table was ready on time. The service was attentive. The menu offered enough variety. Our choices were tasty. The resort is well maintained. I would recommend eating here, especially if you are staying at the resort.
