We took our family for our wedding anniversary. Ambiance was outstanding, service was outstanding, food was ok. I had pork schnitzel, it was over fried. My wife had the rotisserie chicken, it was over salted. Kids had the chicken tenders and fries, they were outstanding. Wine and Old Fashion also outstanding. Our waiter Tyler was awesome!!
This venue has really gone down hill. Our third year in a row and service and staff attitude all over the hotel was sub-par.
We waited 35 minutes after being seated before anyone acknowledged us. The food was good once it finally came, but the lack of management and oversight was very apparent.
We had a lovely anniversary dinner complete with a thoughtful lavender pot de creme on the house. The service was fantastic- the salads and main dishes surprisingly mediocre. The appetizer fried chicken bites delicious. A nice evening in a beautiful setting but for the price not impressive.
The service and atmosphere are phenomenal! There were some issues with a couple of the items: the foraged mushrooms were a little too salty, I found grit inside of one of my scallops, which, when I brought to their attention, they replaced the one scallop and also offered to make a new plate and the crab dip's flavor profile was a little bit off, basically bland.
The property is beautiful and the staff were lovely, but unfortunately the meal was very disappointing. The crab dip had no crab flavor and was grainy, the steak came out medium well (ordered medium rare) and the au poivre had no flavor, aside from a very burnt taste. We love a char on a steak, but this was beyond that and the peppercorns or the steak itself were very burnt. We also ordered the little neck clam pappardelle, and the pasta was clearly fresh and homemade, but it was sitting in a pool of butter, and there wasn't much else to the sauce besides the butter taste. This also caused the pasta to disintegrate into small pieces. The Brussel sprouts were also tasty but also sitting in a pool of oil. Disappointing given how excited we were for the visit, but it was still nice to see the property and sit outside.
Food wasn't as good as expected. Good but not great service. Lovely setting as always at Ojai.
A beautiful location in the ojai valley inn. They have both valet and self park options. We sat outdoors and it was beautiful! We had a gorgeous view of the resort and oak tree that lit up at night! Kerian came over right away and greeted us and got our water, he was wonderful checking on us throughout the night! Our server Richard was great too! All of the food we got was fantastic! The hamachi was so refreshing! I loved my filet it was so tender and the Demi glaze sauce it came with was fantastic! I tried some of the tomahawk and it was fantastic! With the great views, food and service we will be back to enjoy again!
Service was very inattentive which was surprising coming from a restaurant of this caliber. They kept making mistakes: gave our food to the wrong table, failed to check on us, put the wrong items on our check, and even forgot to give us a pen to sign the check. We waited too long in between check-in's from the staff. Food was just okay. Views were great and everyone else's customer service throughout the hotel was amazing.
Had a wonderful birthday dinner! The food was amazing and the drinks as well. Beautiful atmosphere. I would definitely dine there again.

Wonderful experience we had here. The resort was beautiful. I would say come before your reservation to just enjoy and view the property. All of our food was very good. The hummus is a must. We enjoyed our meals and would return. It’s a very nice city to enjoy when trying to escape the busy city. We will plan residing at the resort next time. Valet complimentary when arriving to restaurant, may also self park

This is an amazing restaurant with a magical atmosphere, as it's surrounded by hundreds of years old oak trees, two of them with lanterns filling the branches and lighting up the evening. The grassy hills blend into the golf course that is flanked by the Topa Mountains casting a magenta glow at dusk. You can't help but see the world through "rose-colored glasses", and every bite you take of a meal at The Oak is a delicious medlay of flavors. The servers all seem to revel in the hub-bub and lend to the friendly atmosphere. Jeff Johnson and Ruthie Dimmick are top notch at training their staff and ensuring that nothing goes un-noticed. I briefly rubbed my grand-daughter's shoulders, and Ruthie came over to ask if we were cold. She turned an overhead heater on, and we were at once comfortable. There is no place like this place in Ojai, or dare I say - anywhere!
got steak swimming in peppercorn sauce and filet undercooked. very pricey for sub par food.

Everything at the Ojai Valley Inn is top notch, and this meal was no exception. Had the salmon bowl and it was prepared perfectly. Had a wonderful Pavlova for desert. Service was a little slow which was unusual as service is usually impeccable. But given the stunningly beautiful environment and great food, I can highly recommend.
