Based on the reviews, Fireside Pizza in the Olympic Village, Palisades Lake Tahoe is a Tahoe favorite. The vibe is lively and inviting, with cozy indoor seating and gorgeous outdoor options. The service is top-notch, friendly, and efficient. The gluten free fireside pizza is really good with a good crust, chewy and crunchy, not floppy or cardboard. The best pizza ever includes the garlic chips and the meat pizza, plus the classic margarita and a blanco pizza that is not dry, full of flavor, and has a bunch of toppings. The pear and arugula pizza is fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. Other menu items include the pear and walnut salad, lodge chicken wings baked to perfection, the Mediterranean and Thai Curry pizzas, the Italian herb shrimp penne, and desserts like the oven-baked chocolate chip cookie and brownie. It is pricey but not for the area. It is a great spot for families and groups with lots of big tables. There is a free live band for outdoor seating. The only weird thing is there are no napkins anywhere; you have to ask for them.
