The ice wine marinated egg in the pork ramen is delightful.

I decided to give this place a try despite the bad reviews. Don’t be like me.The good: The chashu buns appetizer was tasty. The bad: the ramen was really disappointing… the broth was bland and almost flavorless, and the broth is the most important part of ramen. The ugly: the ramen is not only bad, it’s the main thing they serve. Don’t go here. The service was fine, but they were short staffed and so they didn’t have a bartender which meant none of the mixed drinks on the menu were available.

This place is horrible! Seriously don’t eat here. They charge $25-$30 per bowl of “ramen” and “wonton”. The ramen broth was watery and bland. The wonton filling was gummy and over cooked. You can seriously buy instant ramen and it would taste better! We have kids and they even said it was bad and our kids eat almost any noodle. They should go hit up JFC distributor and buy tonkotsu broth in a jar! Like for that price you can anything and it would taste better. I don’t understand how and where they make the ramen or broth. It’s just bad. Just don’t eat here even if you’re hungry cuz it won’t satisfy and will leave a bitter taste in your mom. I’m sorry but management needs to go watch some noodle making YouTube’s or go eat at a ramen shop. Pick the worse one and I think it’ll still taste better. I’m sorry but I can’t get over how much we paid for bad food.

The ramen here is quite awful, the broth is just seaweed water.

Love this place post skiing! We skied right up to the door for some warm ramen post rainy day runs! We were promptly greeted at the door and our order came out quicker than our noses defrosted! :)

I was excited to have a ramen place by the hotel. We came in and it was empty. LOL No wonder…The ramen was very bland and mediocre.Shin top ramen beats this ?.Our margaritas came way after the ramens were served…I would not recommend this place. Such a disappointment esp with their prices.??‍♀️

Had a wonderful lunch with friends here! Was greeted at the door, great service! We all tried different foods and everything was so flavorful and delicious! The chashu buns were our favorite! Very yummy meal after a long day of skiing! Highly recommend for family’s, friends and date nights!

I’m not sure what all of the negative reviews are - a lot of them seemed like they were for a different restaurant? When we visited, the ramen was great, especially after a day of getting rained on while skiing. Would recommend and will definitely be going again!

As a noodle house, the taste of the tonkatsu ramen is really disappointing. The tonkatsu is so lean and hard to chew. The soup tastes like water and not adding any salt. The karage we ordered also over fried and the size of each piece are not even. There is a giant piece at one side and other much smaller pieces on the other side.

Holy Smokes Montagna where to begin? Lets walk through a typical takeout experience at a 4 star hotel.TLDR; Avoid and have something, anything, else. You'll thank me for saving your tastebuds, your wallet, and your experience at The Resort at Squaw ValleyOrderingSince the pandemic restaurants have shifted to online ordering, as indicated by the sign in Montagna's window right? WRONG!Online ordering does not work and not sure if it is accurate or not but one employee said its supposed to be that way.Ok well you can order over the phone right? WRONG! The phone was intentionally left off the hook when we went downstairs to place our order.Cool, lets order with stamped postage, oh wait they're closing in 45 minutes and I want my food today.Well I place my order in person then ("At Resort at Squaw Creek, the safety & well-being of our guests, associates, members, and community is top priority.") nothing like a bunch of people waiting in line inside to order food from the one place that's open.So we place our order and leave. We get a message saying its ready so we go pick it up. Ordering complete. The Food$62.62 cents can buy you a lot of things. It can buy you some really delicious pizza and beer in New York. It can buy you A1 primo Texas BBQ and a pitcher of margs in Texas. At Montagna it will get you some pre prepared, hot drawer quality, grease platter sustenance and nothing to help wash down what you're about to force through your throat. So what did I get for my hard earned $62.62? Well on paper it sounds like a deal. I got a truffle burger featuring two "wagyu" patties. The burger, if its truly was wagyu, was a slap in the face. Overcooked and excessively greasy. Hidekazu Tojo would be gravely insulted to be served this and so am I. The french fries could have saved the meal but alas, the fries were soft and limp. French fries need to be firm and crunchy. Ok so the burger and fries were a $22 dud. We had $7 onion rings to save the day. As I bit into the first (also limp) onion ring I was saddened by its wet cardboard texture and tepidness. Fried foods are hard ok. I should have known a professional kitchen wouldn't be able to make fries as good as I can in my dutch oven on camping trips. I mean I would have never guessed Montagna even had a deep fryer on, it didn't smell like a deep fry when we went in or when we picked up. Its like they preemptively deep fried for the entire evening, gasp. Everyone knows deep fry works and is only good if you deep fry as close to serving as possible. Ok the $22 burger and $7 onion rings were dead on arrival. What about the $17 chicken wings (all 8 of them). Honestly the wings weren't bad. They were middle of the road and had a Korean BBQ style sauce with sesame seeds. They were cooked well. However. $17 has bought me some of the absolute best smoked chicken wings after skiing. $17 has also gotten me TWO ENTIRE ROTTISERIE CHICKENS with a ton of hatch chilis. So the wings from Montagna can be considered "aight"Lastly my $62.62 didn't include anything to drink. I'm doing a dry February but, the prices for food here at The Resort at Squaw Creek are exorbitantly high for exceedingly mediocre pub fare. Minus the pub and double the fare for the fare.
