MOON GRILL Hawaiian BBQ is an incredible restaurant with really good, delicious food that lives up to the hype. The fusion of Hawaiian and Asian BBQ flavors is a delightful surprise, packed with satisfying flavors. The menu offers an amazing variety with quite the options for seafood. Popular meals include the BBQ plate, the spicy tuna poke, the beef combo, the mixed plate with kalua pork and shrimp, and the BBQ chicken plate. The kalua pork is smoky and tender, the kalbi is fire, and the chicken is flavorful, seasoned well, and very tender. Portions are generous and everything is delicious, definitely not like other Hawaiian places.
The service is on point, quick, and friendly. The staff are very helpful and kind, especially for first-time visitors, and the photos on the menu help. The space is limited and it gets VERY busy, especially on a weekend, which can mean a long wait, but the staff are efficient. Sometimes a free drink is offered for the wait. Kiosks are available to order. The vibes are incredible, complemented by extra sauces, green tea, and a refreshing sweetened lemon tea. Sides like rice, macaroni salad with a dash of paprika, and a side salad with a semi-sweet, slightly hot dressing tie everything together perfectly. While the price can be quite high and some cuts may not be as meaty as desired, the food is killer and worth it, making the restaurant definitely worth checking out and visiting again.
