Today I called and ordered lunch. The girl on the phone asked for my name and I told her I'm sick and would have to send my husband. She told me how sorry she feels that I'm sick. She even wrote "feel better" on my sandwich wrapper. She doesn't even know me. A-1 Deli in Orange, CA is the best! So far I've only had their turkey, cheese, avocado sandwich 3 or 4 times. One day I'll have to try something else. But I like the t, c, a sandwich a lot. I always get the large and can never finish it. It's filling. I save what's left for dinner.

This is the best deli you'll ever visit! Lots of options and easy to modify to your liking. There's definitely something for everyone here and the staff are always open to give recommendations- they go as far as to even help you pair chips with your sandwich! Can't get food and service like this anywhere else :) will definitely be coming back soon. S/o to the owners who are always super nice and accommodating! Ps. this place can get pretty busy around lunch time so I suggest calling ahead or ordering online!

The food is fantastic but the folks behind the counter are the most unwelcoming bunch I’ve ever come across, especially towards newcomers. They just aren’t friendly or welcoming. Very much a “hurry up and order” mentality.
Came in and asked for a pastrami sandwich. Was told they were out of pastrami. Went with the chicken Philly , dined in. 5 minutes later a guest walks in and orders the pastrami and they served her. Thought that was kind of weird , tattoo girl seemed rude/unpleasant. Sandwich was ok. Won’t come back due to the service.
