This place was cool . Walked in for the first time today .. it used to be an old bank so I loved how It looked obviously very spacious ! Plenty of seating. You can still see where the tellers would sit behind the bulletproof glass lol . The coffee spot itself looks cool . Tried the volcano iced . I have a love/hate relationship with Play. Key points: their iced coffees taste like milk with a hint of coffee while their hot coffees are actually quite good. There’s something wrong when an iced shaken maple latte has a huge orange peel and zest in it and is completely overpowered by said orange. When it comes to their pastries, they’re simply not worth the premium that they charge. 1 drink and 2 pastries came out to $20 total which is absurd charging 7 dollars for a mid...
I was hesitant to have another coffee shop in the Plaza, but safe to say they are a great addition and staple of the downtown. The staff are great and for someone like myself that’s not into the background or logistics of coffee roasting. I can tell they put a lot of care and work into the coffee they serve.The staff are great and very knowledgeable in what they’re making for you and the owners are very nice and you can tell they want to be a part of the community.
