Our wedding at The Richland was absolutely perfect, exceeding all our expectations! From the moment we toured the venue, we knew it was the right place for our special day. With around 100 guests, the space felt spacious and comfortable, never crowded. There were so many beautiful spots for photos, which made our photographer's job a breeze and resulted in stunning memories we'll cherish forever.
The food was absolutely incredible! Our guests raved about the delicious menu, and we were so impressed with the quality and presentation. The staff at The Richland truly went above and beyond. Their attention to detail was impeccable, ensuring everything ran smoothly from start to finish. They were attentive, professional, and anticipated our needs before we even asked.
We also highly recommend renting the two-bedroom cottage on the property. It was incredibly convenient for us and our wedding party, providing a comfortable and relaxing space to get ready and unwind.
Overall, we wholeheartedly recommend The Richland as a wedding venue. It's the perfect combination of beautiful spaces, delicious food, and exceptional service.

I honestly don’t even want to leave a review because I’m afraid it’ll become hard to book this little gem of a place. This small hotel has a warm & cozy feel to it made even better by the absolutely delightful staff there. I had to book a room very last minute for almost a week, as my daughter was ill, and the staff was very accommodating to my needs. The room was incredibly cute and comfortable and the shower was absolutely lovely! The main house holds a very comfortable area to sit and work or relax with free snacks & drinks provided. That was an absolute treat in itself! While there I looked up the history to the place and was thrilled to learn of its interesting history and how they worked hard to keep a lot of the original architecture. Walking out of the hotel you immediately walk into a gorgeous area with lots of cute shops and wonderful places to eat. I loved it so much I didn’t want to leave lol but alas, my daughter got better and it was time to head home. We’ve already, however, booked the cottage for November and now I can’t wait to be back!
Nearby activities: Chapman University is within walking disrance. Lots of antique shops and other cute shops.
Safety: I felt very safe not only in the hotel but also walking around in the surrounding area, though of course I never let my guard down.
Walkability: Lovely place to spend plenty time walking. Walking to Chapman University is literally just maybe a 5 minute walk.
Food and drinks: Lots of great places to eat within very short walking distance.

When we step foot on the property we were in great hands - the setup team, folks in the office, and staff throughout the entire night took good care of us and felt supported to ensure our couple had an amazing wedding experience. They even gave my partner and I snack bags during the setup, which was very kind and thoughtful because as a vendor, we typically take care of everyone else. I wish every venue was this kind and helpful!
