We went to Saffire Restaurant on Mother’s Day morning as a little treat for my mom and myself, and it was such an amazing experience from start to finish. Dan absolutely made our visit memorable. He was so kind, attentive, and professional, and you could tell he genuinely cared about giving guests a great experience. He carved the meat perfectly, and every cut was sliced beautifully and plated so nicely. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and honestly some of the best we’ve had. The attention to detail and friendly personality completely stood out and made the morning feel extra special. We left beyond impressed and will absolutely be coming back again soon.

Celebrated my sister's 80th birthday 4/4/26 AND we were so very pleased!!! Our steaks & prime rib delicious as well as the beet agrula salad, loaded bake potatoes & roasted garlic!!! Fabulous. Our desserts topped the evening off. Matt Our waiter was top notch & knew his role to make it so very special like classic San Francisco Vibe yet fun & enjoyable. Wow! What a great evening! Like the old days with George the maitre D. / manager. High praise & gratitude. Thank you so very much. Jim & Claudia Moll

Went here to celebrate early valentines day dinner wasn't concerned about price. Took 15 minutes to order. 40 minutes to get our food the lobster was raw. And I love lobster the steaks were great. But after we finished eating we sat there for 45 minutes waiting on our check. I left because I was about to tell them how bad there service was my husband being the nicest guy you will ever meet says
honey you can leave I'll wait 20 minutes.latet he had to go to the desk and ask for the check over 2 hours of our life waiting on them to do their job. Never again!!!

Hopefully this was just a rough evening for the staff. But unfortunately that rough evening happened to be my birthday dinner and the first time my wife and I had a night to ourselves in over 6 years really. The place is very nice and the host and servers were great. The kitchen on the other hand…. Ordered their cowboy cut ribeye, loaded baked potato, and sautéed mushrooms. The first ribeye that came out was basically raw. Asked for our waitress and while we waited my wife at some of her meal to discover that the asparagus she ordered was also severely undercooked. Waitress arrived and when I showed her my steak she referred to it as “basically blue rare” and apologized taking it back to get me a new one. By that point my wife was full and I’d eaten enough of the appetizers that I asked them to just box up my remade order. Manager came by to inspect the undercooked asparagus and took it off the bill. My wife had ordered their crème brûlée thinking it was a standard crème brûlée because the menu gave no indication otherwise. The manager comped that as well. We paid and left. Later that night in the hotel room we discovered that 1. The crème brûlée is actually a VERY small tart like dish and wasn’t good at all. 2. My loaded baked potato that I’d eaten maybe a quarter of was replaced with a very much unloaded baked potato with no fixings for it. The second steak was better but I can’t give it a fair review since I couldn’t eat it fresh. Really disappointing way to spend my birthday and a VERY rare night out. We appreciate the attempts to try and make some things right but in the end it feels like they all fell short and continued to disappoint.

We have only been a few times since Covid but each time staff improves and food was wonderful this visit!
Everything was amazing except 3 things when we got the 2nd order of bread...it was cold. The Blueberry Cheesecake tasted like it came from a box. The Shrimp Scampi appetizer was not worth the money. Elijah was full of energy and a great server. My Ribeye.....I wanted to kiss the Chef! It was worth every penny!
The food tasted wonderful but the temperature could have been hotter.the presentation was a little bit of a shock as it was wrapped in wood. The music was a little too quiet and the couple next to us kept staring at us and made it extremely uncomfortable until they left. Our waitress was very nice and attentive.
Very nice, elegant looking restaurant. Service was excellent and attentive. Large wine and cocktail menu. Unfortunately the food did not live up to the ambience of the restaurant. My wife enjoyed her salmon entree but my prime rib was mediocre at best.
We reserved a window view table and the blinds were closed.... They said they couldn't open them because they were broken. Big disappointment given it was Thanksgiving dinner. The server didn't know anything about the wine. Food was decent.... But I'm fairly sure the sauce for the crab cakes was Thousand Island dressing. The cakes were great though. My family liked their food.
My first experience at dining at the Safire was absolutely amazing! This second experience was rather disappointing, however. We took some guests with us the second time and was a little embarrassed as we touted your food so highly. The service was excellent and it will get us to return. The ambience was wonderful as well. The food was somewhat disappointing. The steaks were warm like it rested much too long. The chili bowl was cold and needed reheating. The fried calamari was rather disapponitng. The coating was pasty and flavorless. The croutons on the dinner salad were simply awful....left over foccacia bread....no bueno! We're not giving up on the restaurant, however. Just fix these problems in the kitchen. Your server staff is fantastic and very attentive and personable. One can tell they want their diners to have the best experience at the restaurant. Don't disappoint us kitchen staff!

We ate dinner at Safire prior to the Lucas Nelson concert. We booked 5:30 to ensure we had plenty of time to have a relaxing, lovely dinner at Safire. Instead we got a dinner where it took 45 minutes to get a drink and the waiter said, if you want to get out of here in time, have the prime rib cause it is already cooked. I got it and it was luke warm and really chewy. Husband got surf and turf pasta and it was good. We ended up running out of the restaurant in order to get the concert. They need to staff up everywhere in the restaurant on concert nights. Very disappointed cause it was a special outing for us. Lots of frustrated customers that night.
We had a party of 6 celebrating my daughter's 40th birthday....all I can say is fantastic! All the way around!!! from service to food to atmosphere . I had the best prime rib and garlic mash potatoes everrrrr....the only thing I would suggest....we didn't have a reservation but we were there for an early dinner 4:30...nobody there...my brother who is handicapped With a cane and wobbly had to walk down 2 sets of stairs (6 each)...6ft 4..275.lbs....ramp maybe? ....maybe should have sat us on the first level in dining room..anyways still a lovely dinner and thank you

The staff was incredibly attentive. The food was amazing. Our water glasses were never empty until we told them we didn't need anymore. They were very accommodating and it was wonderful. We just ordered entrees from the chef's menu so we didn't have steak. Oddly enough, but the pork chop and chicken alfredo were amazing! Bottom line it was great service and great food. A little expensive but understandable for the the ambience and food they serve.
Server was great! Super knowledgeable and informative. Didn't feel rushed at all, checked in on us periodically but not excessively. Food was outstanding! Price was a little high, definitely Bay Area pricing, which seemed a little much for Oroville. Open table didn't show any availability before 6:30 and we typically like to eat a little earlier, place was empty when we arrived at 6:15, so definitely could have come earlier. Was a little busier by the time we left around 7:30. Great selections, will definitely return.
Safire staff was extremely accommodating and welcoming. The service was excellent and food was amazing. Safire is above and beyond the best formal and fine dining in Butte County.
