I had the pleasure of dining at Tierra Sur, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. Started with wine at the bar and also had a flatbread, all good. The menu is good, but it's locked in so there are no changes, at least with the wine pairing. We ordered a Delmonico steak MR but it arrived MW and we had to send it back. They were good with that and replaced it with a Ribeye at the same price and it was cooked perfectly.
It's an expensive restaurant that was quite a drive - the sort of place you go to for special occasions, that you should be willing to shell out lots of money for. The ambience is quiet and elegant. The service is excellent. The wine was amazing. That said - the food was underwhelming. Everything from the duck salad to the chocolate dessert tasted somewhat bland. At one point, I found myself wondering if I had lost my sense of taste and had COVID! The most disappointing part...
