It was my first time and I'd definitely come back! The food was delicious. Here you order and the counter and seat yourself. We all shared a cinnamon roll, it was 4 of us, so to share was perfect, especially while we waited for our food. I ordered the chiliquiles burrito, which was delicious. It was big, I had to save half to take home. The salsas were delicious as well. Ambiance was vibrant and the service was kind.

Delicious food. Service at Tomas Cafe in Oxnard was even better. A cafe that has that down home feeling. Hospitality is the word I’m looking for. Speaking for myself, the food is just as important as the service. This place does it for me. I recommend the eggs Benedict with ham steak: it really is ham steak! 😊

, I respect the owners but I will not be returning after a terrible service this morning. It was an older Mexican lady (I’m Mexican by the way) , she charged us extra for our drinks that came with the meals we ordered and she didn’t make any effort to go out of her way to make sure we weren’t charged just because “the machine didn’t let her” paid an extra $10 for drinks because of her incompetence, after we had a good amount of food left over, when we asked for to go boxes We were given small boxes little brown boxes that was not enough, we looked ridiculous struggling putting all of our food into the containers Even then we still needed for boxes and they refused to still give us the bigger boxes.
