The food was fantastic but the service was terrible. Ordered 6 empanadas and was told it would be a 15/20 minute wait, which was fine. After a while we were told that they only had 5 of them ready and had to wait another 10 or so minutes for the sixth one. Also took a very long time to get two coffees out to the table. I'd probably stick to take out.

Very unique and lovely cafe.
Great selection of empanadas that are made fresh and smell delicious.
The selection of coffee's and herbal teas was convenient. All of our selections were delicious.
The wait to order and receive our items was longer than a trip to Starbucks and but everything was delicious and worth the wait. Also, we got to enjoy the atmosphere and decor. It is a very comfortable place to really and enjoy some good coffee.
Dietary restrictions: Several different milk options. Soy, oat, almond, 2% and regular.

unfortunately, both the chipa and the mbuja tasted mouldy :/
These guys need to figure out how to store their cassava correctly
Or just taste what they're serving customers ..
Delicious coffee
Lovely empanadas, enjoyed in a secluded garden area near Monterey Aquarium.

Milanesa Chicken sandwich is the best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had! Yucca fries were also amazing. Their espresso drinks are very good too. Definitely a must try if you’re in the area, just a short stroll from Cannery Row, well worth it 👌

It was hard to follow up it's predecessor (Tilly Gort's) but this restaurant is one of a kind vegan and non vegan breakfast/brunch/lunch. The yucca flour empanadas are my favorite.

Love this place! Great coffee. Amazing teas. There is always something wonderful to eat. We have had pork, ham and cheese empanadas with the chimichurri sauce. Outstanding flavor. You must try the Yucca fries.
It is sometimes busy but worth the wait. The secret garden in the back is a great a place to sit and relax.
Parking: We usually find a side street to park on and walk to the Cafe.
