About La Cote Bleue

La Cote Bleue is a restaurant that offers a warm and inviting dining experience, despite being relatively new and still finding its footing. The atmosphere might be a bit rough around the edges, but the quality of food and service make it worth visiting. The restaurant is known for its delicious seafood dishes, including fish and chips where the fish is well breaded and tastes great, and seafood pasta that receives high praise. Desserts like creme brulee and pot de creme are also highlights, with the former being delicious and well portioned.

While the ambiance is simple and somewhat unrefined, the focus remains on good food and friendly service. The wine selection complements the meals well, and the staff is attentive and welcoming. The menu features a variety of seafood options such as Monterey Bay Sanddabs, roast duck, and duck confit ravioli, all prepared with care and flavor. Appetizers like tempura prawn and blue fin deep fried sushi roll are also enjoyable.

Though the interior design is basic and could benefit from updates, the restaurant’s consistent quality keeps guests coming back. Overall, La Cote Bleue provides a satisfying dining experience with tasty meals, friendly service, and a cozy atmosphere, making it a place worth visiting for seafood lovers and those seeking a relaxed yet delicious meal.

Dinner was delicious! Every bite was divine. If you are in the area it is a must !

Cuisine 🧑‍🍳 excellente service très sympathique. Une adresse à recommander si vous voulez bien manger 🍽 a Monterey , serveur hyper sympathique.

Delicious food and great service. So good that we are returning in a few days (we are in town for three days) to try other dishes on the menu. Today we had the short ribs (very generous serving) and the sand dabs. Going back to try the rack of lamb. Also, the French onion soup was excellent! Creme Brûlée too!
