They are supposed to be the best clam chowder in Monterey, but disagree, I've had better. It did not have the clam essence to it and not creamy enough.

$45 for a pasta that was bland. The mussels were good, the small fish was amazing and the only saving grace to this dish. The pasta itself had a white wine and butter “sauce” that was very thin and liquidy with zero flavor. It needed salt? Wish the sauce was thicker/creamier? It was freezing cold outside. (45F for a Californian-it’s cold). There was only one heater on one side of the table. The water made a few semi-sarcastic jokes? Couldn’t tell if he was being direct...
The clam chowder bread bowl w/ garlic cheese lid was probably the best item that we got, but not great in general. The cheese lid itself was extremely greasy, soggy with oil to the point that I squeezed it and tablespoons of oil came out.
