“I don't often post 5 stars on all three categories! Listen up, BEST breakfast burrito I've ever had. I start with the service. I walk in, there's about 14 seats, I talk to the cook and ask...do you have lengua? To my delight, they do! (I didn't see it on the menu as an option) I ask if they can put it in my breakfast burrito. He says, "...of course senor!" My mouth starts salivating with anticipation, he then asks, " would you like chips?" I nod. Mind you you, it's 9am on Mother's day '24... I glimpse over and notice they have a salsa stand, I get the spiciest one and await with the eagerness of a child waiting for that first cotton candy bite at a carnival. Food comes, I cut the burrito in half, add the salsa and bite into it... "Ay dios, mio!!!" Perfecto! Salsa combined with the lengua and mixture of potatoes eggs, oh my god! I stopped after the first half was devoured like a hungry lion on the Serengeti with a first fresh kill of the morning. I had to type these thoughts...I usually wait but this was fresh on my mind and I needed to tell someone, anyone! I love this place.“

“The tortillas are fresh and homemade! The salsa is outstanding!.. tacos are excellent!.. I particularly like the adobada, the asada, and the crispy tacos de papa… the atmosphere is definitely a little scruffy and casual, but with friendly staff and fair prices.
Parking: Just a few spots in their tricky parking lot, but street parking near by. Or take the bus, it stops right there!“

“The best food and most amazing staff! Me and my bestie were tired and hungry after the beach and this place did not disappoint. The fish tacos were some of the best and the staff, especially Pepe, were so kind and hospitable. We really loved our time here; recommend to anyone in Venice Beach area who loves to eat!“

“Hands down best tacos in the neighborhood. Chicken, carnitas and al pastor are our favorites. Lots of salsas and topping to choose from. Horchata is really good too. Authentic rice flavor and not overly sweet.
Kid-friendliness: Our kids love the chicken tacos, quesadillas and horchata.
Wheelchair accessibility: On sidewalk at parking lot level.“

“Great tacos- super tasty, good price, has every side/ addition you could want. there’s even music playing. Has an organized ordering line and the chefs and staff were very friendly and attentive. So happy I ran into this walking to Vons. Has a few stools to sit on if you want to eat there. A table or two would be nice since gets pretty crowded but eating on the parking barrier on the side of the road w everyone still a vibe you know“

“We had enjoyed Home State prior to going to this location had a party.
My only comment would be that the food wasn’t as hot as I had hoped it would be by the time it came out to our table on the patio, but it was enjoyable. And the service is good.“

“Some of the best tacos I’ve ever had!! Be patient, they can take a little bit to cook as they are all cook to order and sometimes there may only be one person. Fantastic service! Great flavor! I would highly recommend and will definitely be back next time in Venice. They offer fresh muffins that looked amazing. Also have a wide selection of shakes and drinks
Parking: You’ll want to park on the street or public parking and make this a visit while walking along the beach
Kid-friendliness: Not a very large space but has several patio seats
Wheelchair accessibility: Very limited access as there are several stairs“

“These are hands down the best tacos I’ve had in LA. And I’ve had a lot of tacos in the country. Plus for the price (2 bucks a taco), you can’t beat eating this stuff. Highly recommend for any locals of the areas. We got the chicken, pastor, and asada. All a recommend, and you can load up on your own toppings, def get the onions and jalapeño if you love spice.“
“Finally there’s a street taco spot in the neighborhood! A very welcomed addition. You can see the Al Pastor when you pass by, but what you might not see is their giant pot of simmering meat filled with carnitas, asada and tripe. For $10 you can get a hearty burrito filled with your meat of choice + rice and beans. Their rice and beans are heavenly, full of flavor. I always get an extra side of rice to go.Tacos are 2-3 bites big and you can choose from lots of toppings to add yourself. They have a nice selection of roasted hot red salsa, it tasted smoked it’s so good. There’s a green tomatillo salsa that’s bomb. Their guacamole sauce is not thin and watery, it’s super creamy and flavorful. They’re getting more popular in the neighborhood! The other day they ran out by 10PM so don’t come at the end of the night expecting a full menu.I can get an asada quesadilla, 6 tacos and a plate of rice for $25 with all the extra toppings included.Remember to tip these guys, they work hard!!“

“Great asada and al pastor tacos!! Friendly service. Went on a Wednesday around 1pm. 3 people had already ordered ahead of me and 3 people ordered right after me, so I felt good about the truck having plenty of customers.
I'd had asada tacos at Baja for $1.50 each on Tuesday and was curious to see how they compared.
This place won by a landslide. I ordered 2 asada and 2 al pastor tacos. The tacos still only cost $2.50 each and all sorts of meats. The pickled carrot, onion, and jalapenos were ? as were the grilled onions and chile. Green sauce better than Baja as well!! Also came with 2 generous lime wedges, radish, cucumber, and some corn chips.
Flavor of tacos was good but everything else on the plate is what made it phenomenal. All the flavors combined ??
Definitely try this place. I had to wait maybe 10-15 minutes after ordering, but it was worth it. You can tell he cooks with love and passion.“

“I have been eating this food every Saturday for 4 years now and i can tell you right now the consistency has not changed, the hot sauce is always on point! The variety of meat is a good selection, they added tortas and some other dishes I don't recall. Always get the steak/ cabeza burrito with no rice. You wont regret it, if you get steak add cheese. Good luck always try to mix and match combinations can surprise you“

“The al pastor is the star of the show here. For around 10$ (or 11$ with cheese), you get a fairly thick and large portioned burrito filled with a decent amount of meat. It all goes very well together with the beans and rice. There might be a tad bit too much pineapple but it's a minor complaint.
I've tried the other meats and found that the suadero is very good! I'd come back to try the tripas to see how that is. the lines can get very long depending on the time and day you go. It could take up to 45min or more in some cases.“

“July 30, 2024. I have been coming here for years. I love this place and would make the drive from van nuys to noho just to get my burrito with BLACK SAUCE, a delicious tomatillo sauce i could find nowhere else. I came here a couple months ago and got my usual order and was satisfied as always. But i noticed on this visit a gentlemen with his mom taking measurements for remodeling, didn’t think anything of it just realized i had never seen the owners before. Today I went back for my usual having been craving it for the past three days. I was in the area with a friend whom i had already turned on to the black sauce, we were excited. We place our orders and she is asking the lady to please include black sauce a lot of it, i tell my friend no we have to get it ourselves at the condiments. The register lady then tells us, “oh no there is no black sauce we don’t make it anymore”. My heart drops, i ask what, who made that call? She says the owners. I figured then that the ppl i saw on my last visit must have been new owners. They invested all this money on remodeling but took away the sauce, smh. Don’t get me wrong the burritos are good and huge, but a good huge burrito can be found elsewhere. What I can’t find elsewhere is the BLACK SAUCE that really takes it home, and makes it such a satisfying experience. Today was a sad day. My friend and I decided not to buy our burritos because it seemed pointless regardless of how hungry we were. After years of being a customer I don’t know that I will continue coming here anymore if they don’t bring back the black sauce.“
“This is a taco truck, and these were first tacos I tried in LA. They were easily the best for their price, and let’s be honest, they beat out a lot of higher priced tacos. These were the first “carnes cabeza” tacos I’ve ever. The rest of the trip I was asking where are the “head tacos”? Well seasoned meat, fresh toppings, rice and beans, for two people it cost $20. What more could you ask for? (For me obviously a marg, but again, taco truck.) Their tortas aka sandwich gets a 10/10.Parking should be self explanatory.“

“We ordered quesadillas and chicken tacos. Quality of food was very good but the presentation of the tacos was quite sloppy. There were 3 tacos and it was hard to tell where one taco ended and the next started...everything appeared to be just thrown into the shell without much order. Atmosphere was fun and upbeat.“

“I never thought tacos were good, but these were really delicious. It's really nice that if you don't eat cilantro, you can ask for it to be omitted. It was my first time ordering so I didn't know a lot, but all the staff were kind enough to answer. It was even more memorable because I ate here as soon as I arrived in LA!! Thanks to you, I got into tacos hahahaha“

“He flipped the tortillas using a painters putty knife, made the taco by holding the tortilla in his hand and grabbed the meat with it - using it like a tortilla glove. They let us take as much onion, cilantro, sauce, etc, as we wanted. $2 per taco. What more could you people possibly want. Stop reading this review and go get your taco immediately.“

“This is another gem I take visitors to all the time, mostly for a late breakfast. I come here for 20+ years. I gotta be honest: If you are looking for the best ... whatever food .... in town, don't bother to go. This place is about atmosphere and having a good time. The food is good, and we had an amazing time with our waiter Shilly yesterday - and left well fed and with $100 for the four of us fairly priced - given the location I would have expected more. Wow - five stars for OK food? Absolutely. In my very own rating scheme, it is mandatory for five stars that I would be willing to do a 30+ min detour just to go to this particular place. And I did. Many times. And will do it again. We've been to the Ivy's in Beverly Hills the night before. It would be totally unfair to compare on a mere culinary basis. Go here - prepared to have a good time - and you will.“

“So far my bf and I have been there a couple of times and it's a family owned taco stand that sell tacos, burritos, tortas and more. They're service isn't so great at night which I understand cuz I've worked at one before and it's tiring. I've only ordered their tacos and so far they're good compared to most taco stands in LA. They serve a good protioned sized tacos and condiments are free. They also have Agua frescas and a Ralphs across the parking lot. Definitely a place I'll be heading before work“
