* Tamales are rather large.
* Flavor if chicken, pork, and rajas are good
* I appreciate that they advertise tamales are not made with lard
* Masa is soft even after re-heating. Almost too soft it falls apart
* Pricing is not bad considering the size
* Fast service, I appreciate the labels for each flavor

Cons
* More masa than filling
* Vegetarian was disappointing. Vegetable filling looks like it came from a can (peas, corn, carrots, green beans) It would have been better to just label the bean and cheese vegetarian.
* We ate all tamales except “Vegetarian”
* The woman taking our order did have quite an attitude.“

We had shrimp tacos, marlin plate, and ceviche. Everything was excellent! My wife said the best shrimp tacos she’s ever had. This quality food could easily be served in a higher-end restaurant.“

“A hidden gem in the heart of San Fernando!

Maria Restaurant / Restaurant Maria is truly a great hidden jewel in the center of San Fernando, California. The Mexican food is delicious, and the customer service is excellent!
I ordered the Chicharrón en salsa verde (pork in green salsa) — absolutely mouthwatering. My mom had the famous Menudo, and she loved it. Everything came with large, soft handmade corn tortillas — fresh and perfect with every bite. We also enjoyed their Café de Olla — I couldn’t resist having two and a half cups. Simplemente delicioso! ☕️
The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and to top it off, there was live music from two well-dressed golden-age gentlemen singing and playing their guitars — such a lovely touch.

“Guido's Pizza is the best all-around. Whether it's the one in Sylmar on Polk and Glen Oaks or the one on Osborne and Glen Oaks. You can never go wrong. As soon as you walk in, you are greeted, and both places treat you with respect.Guido's Pizza was a big hit for my son's school. It was delivered on time for the school party they were having. I ordered two extra large peporoni pizza's and my son said that all the pizza's that were not from Guido's were never touched once.The kids were amazed with Guido's that even the parents asked me where I got the Pizza because they wanted to buy some for the holidays.Five stars to both Guidos Pizza.“

“Young lady worker there is pleasant there. She's friendly with good service. Nice portion of green beans chkn & mushroom chkn with fried rice is so tasty. Sometimes i get teriyaki chkn with chow mein noodles. Reasonable price.

“Food is great, the employees are great...certain customers though, may have to do take out. Its not because Queens lacks space. Certain customers need to take their little worlds with them and away. Going back to Queens, burgers are pretty damn good. Fries a little easier on the seasoning, but aside from that, still good. Their pastrami not sure what it is, but its better than The Hat, IMHO. Plenty of seating and also eat outdoors. Been here at least 6x, was referred by a previous patient.“

“I’ve been going here since I was a young girl and my family and I are well acquainted with the staff. Everyone is polite and the food is absolutely phenomenal. For family dining we order their seafood soup with their fried rice. Do not be off put by the disposition of the staff, I believe they have solemn expressions because they are from a different culture. They aren’t rude just don’t fake their expressions 🤷🏽“

“Got a scrambled eggs burrito with avocado. Very tasty, even though a couple people working there were surprised it was on the menu. The sign out front said they had champurrado (similar to hot chocolate), but they didn’t actually. The burrito was the perfect vegetarian option, the beans were whole, which indicates no lard was used. I loved watching and smelling the corn tortillas being made in the main seating area, it seams like a popular spot for handmade tortillas. The restaurant and bathroom was very clean And tidy. Overall a positive experience. I recommend speaking in Spanish.“

She seems very unhappy everytime we have been there. In my opinion, a simple "Hello" from her would be nice, because she makes it very uncomfortable when ordering food.“
