Fun place to stop for a beer and some food, although I didn't have any food.I'll have to come back for the food :-)There really isn't anything else around but I'm not putting this place down. I think this place like the tv show Cheers. Getting here was the fun part. I was basically driving for 45 minutes in the middle of nowhere and voila, this place appears.

Got there coming from Coalinga north on the 5 then, the exit on Panoche Rd. Then I followed Panoche Rd over the Tomey Hills, skipping all the gas stations and restaurants. You'll need a truck for this route cause the roads get very bumpy all after that. Check Google Map really good, trust the route, and go for it, won't regret it when you get there. Now, as for the way back to the 5, there's Little Panoche Rd right there across from Panoche Inn, takes you pass Mercy Hot Springs, till you reach the 5 again. Or, take Panoche Rd north to Paicines, which will put you just one tiny town (Tres Pinos is the name), from Hollister, the biggest town in San Benito County. I hope this post helps someone else exploring Google maps and checking out what's there.

I had just made it over those hills on Panoche Rd coming from the HWY 5, instead of taking Little Panoche Rd from Mercy Hot Springs, when I decide to to see if my dollar bill was still on the wall; still was and the bar keep was cool, so was the rest of the people there. Some had motorcycles which was cool, a few pick ups there go figure my own truck was there too. I had to make it quick, so I had no conversation that lasted more than a minute, just saw my dollar, excused myself from the house, and began that 42 mile long bumpy ride home to Hollister, great drive if the roads weren't all tore up but enjoyed myself going there to the Inn, popping in unannounced, looking to take the edge off for a few minutes before driving along. Check that place out if you see it on your map and your going that way or like me you decide randomly and explore, cool place to see funny wall decor, they don't take card but got an ATM, and to say you did go there you can even leave a dollar bill of whatever denomination with your mark on it, as the wall decor, yeah they'll find a spot for you too because you just never know who will be dropping by. I should of taken a picture of my bill as proof the day I left it but I know it's there. Anyway, enjoy checking places out you find on Google maps and I hope my review helps you out someway.

Great place to stop for a beer or two and a cheeseburger. Atmosphere is a genuine pleasure good people no BS. Can't say enough about how much I like this gem of a place, just beware the local pool sharks, first names start with S and M. Thanks for the good times, Branan

This place was amazing! Everyone was so kind, especially the owner of the inn who was extremely hospitable and caring. Also, the bbq food was excellent! Definitely stop by and grab a drink/food if you get a chance!

Great fking burger! After a massive day hiking the Steep & Narrows at Pinnacles National Park we were famished and had no clue restaurants were such a scarce commodity in the area. We made it in just before closing and they were kind enough to make us food! We had the burgers, which were thick and juicy! The house made pickles were spicy and legit.

This place has good burgers and a cold beer, the pastrami is good, and great with lots of pickles, a great little stop if you're on the back roads, we don't particularly like city folk coming back here, nobody says that as everyone is welcome, this area is conservative and can do without whiny people from the city who complain about the American flag and and the love we have for this great country. we didn't wear masks during CV19, because we love our freedom back here, we fly our American flag proudly.

I am not a Trump supporter, but I love this bar. The last time I went there, the MAGA crap was down & me & the bartender had a good talk about how I'd had Covid & how my boosters had saved me, where a friend of hers who didn't get vaxxed had died. Maybe now they just wanna serve beer & good burgers, which they do really well. The final straw is Trump's ridiculous NFT trading cards--they are just a way to rip off his hard working supporting followers once again pay for his lawyers to defend him from these Federal criminal charges, only now they know it. His hardworking followers have been hurt. Don't rub it in. Just buy a beer. And maybe ask the bartender to change the TV channel to the Food Network.

Great local meeting place! Cold beer. Homemade pickles with the sandwiches.

Totally in-your-face anti-vax, MAGA displays behind the bar, Newsmax on the TV. If that's your thing, go for it. If not, you've been warned.
