Panoche Inn

I am from Michigan and was driving first time from Pinnacle state park to Fresno. Cellular service totally cut off and with no GPS I did not know where I was driving until I stopped here. Must say that the lady, who I think is the owner and the patrons were some of the extremely friendly and helpful people I met, who directed me properly to reach my destination. I did not eat or drink anything here as I was in a hurry. But, must say that the whole place is very welcoming and people...

Fun place to stop for a beer and some food, although I didn't have any food.I'll have to come back for the food :-)There really isn't anything else around but I'm not putting this place down. I think this place like the tv show Cheers. Getting here was the fun part. I was basically driving for 45 minutes in the middle of nowhere and voila, this place appears.

Got there coming from Coalinga north on the 5 then,the exit on Panoche Rd. Then I followed Panoche Rd over the Tomey Hills, skipping all the gas stations and restaurants. You'll need a truck for this route cause the roads get very bumpy all after that. Check Google Map really good, trust the route, and go for it, won't regret it when you get there. Now, as for the way back to the 5, there's Little Panoche Rd right there across from Panoche Inn, takes you pass Mercy...
