**California Pizza Kitchen** is located in Palm Desert, right between El Paseo Drive and Highway 111. The building is beautiful and spacious, making it easy to navigate around tables. There is a bar area with high top seating. The restaurant is very clean and inviting. Lunch time is very busy. Parking is available on the street and in the back, including handicapped spots.
The food is very good. Appetizers like Mexican Street Corn and White Corn Guacamole with Chips are so good. The Half of a California Cobb is a great size. The Carne Asada Pizza is a delicious new item. The upside down cheesecake for dessert is great. All items are fresh and presented extremely well. The margarita pizza, cheese pizza, and charcuterie salad are all great. The new mac and cheese with pizza toppings is super delicious. The half Thai crunch salad comes with wanton noodles, cabbage, and chicken. The wild mushroom pizza is grilled to perfection. Mac n cheese is hot and creamy. Pizza is fresh out of the oven, super hot, thin, and crunchy.
Service is excellent and friendly. The hostess greets guests at the door. There is plenty of staff to take orders. The takeout app is excellent and easy to use. The vibe is casual and cozy.
