I'm curious about why there are so few Lapperts ice cream shops in California. We literally drive here from San Diego to have this ice cream. The flavors are my favorite and you can't get anything quite like them from any other brand. My kids are obsessed too, perhaps it's a good thing that they are so scarce in location.

Lappert's Super Premium Ice Cream is the real deal. The flavor lineup is something else, especially their date-flavored ice cream made with Palm Desert dates!I dove into the Cookie Monster – it's packed with big chunks of cookie dough and Oreo bits. Don't let the fun blue color fool you; this one's not just for kids. Absolutely fantastic!This place is a gem. There's parking nearby, but just a heads up, it can draw a crowd, so you might bump into a line. Totally worth the wait, though!

Phenomenal date shakes, hard-to-beat Kauai Pie, Rum Raisin ice creams. All flavors are excellent- been going for over thirty years in Hawaii!! Lappert's is special- how lucky to have one in the desert!

Hi there. We are in town for the weekend and decided to check this place out. There was a sour odor when we walked in. I had the sea salt caramel and chocolate peanut butter. The SSC was amazing, but I DO NOT recommend the chocolate peanut butter. It tasted burned.

Nice place, friendly staff, and generally good treats. I did take off one star off because I've tried the dairy free options and always disappointed vs dairy free ice creams from other places. The coconut used in the dairy free date shake overpowers the date flavor, so doesn't really seem like a date shake. The dairy free coconut alone has an odd aftertaste. I've been into the Palm Desert store three times and have never seen a dairy free ice cream flavor option except coconut for the ice cream. They do have sorbets, though of course, not the same as DF ice cream.

We walked in with a group of six and her way past 21 questions. Eric was awesome. He was pleasant, helpful and make sure we all were very satisfied. Probably top three ice cream I've ever had. The Hawaiian salted caramel is extremely good can't go wrong with this place.
