Wowww! What a gorgeous and great restaurant !

We came here for dinner yesterday, on Friday 10/4. We were a lot , about 36 people; 7 families from LA, that went on a vacation in the Palm Desert area. My daughter chose that restaurant, and made a reservation for 20 people (that how we started this trip).
When more people decided to join us, they made their own reservations, for various different hours (whatever was available online).
On Friday, my daughter called the restaurant, and explained SEAN, the manager , that we are a big group, with different hours of reservations, but would like to dine together. I will not exaggerate if I will say that this nice and kind manager (SEAN) did EVERYTHING he could to accommodate all of us together at 8pm, and moreover, put all of us (36 people!) together in a private room. He greeted us upon arrival, and during the whole evening checked on us, to make sure everything is o.k.
Thank to him, and his wonderful crew, we had a beautiful and unforgettable evening!
The food was delicious and the service was outstanding !
The vibe and the atmosphere is so happy and vibrant. The chefs are doing anything to make your experience here unique and happy.
We all enjoyed it SO much! Excellent food, with a great entertainment.
If you are visiting the Palm Desert area, do not miss this gorgeous restaurant.
To my opinion (and basically everyone in our group), it is a must visit. We couldn't have a better Friday evening anywhere else.

The seating was terrible. It was crowded the way they arranged it. When you pay $90 per person it would be nice not to have to share the corner space next to you. With a coughing stranger.

Really enjoyed dinner...food was good, chef was great and entertaining, nice vibe. We had a really fun table celebrating a birthday and even got some cake on the house. Would definitely come back

The hostess was rude. The food was horrible, I did not even eat my food and when they picked up my plate they never asked me why it was still full. The chef was horrible. He mumbled and threw food around when preparing the food. When people asked for something they were treated with disrespect. The noise level was outages. We could hear people yelling outside the restaurant out in the parking lot.

We have been to Mikado many times. Last evening we had a Teppanyaki cook that was hard to understand and constantly told jokes ... It became very annoying as we desired soon time for my wife and I to just talk and enjoy our dinner.

At check in the hostesses seemed less than thrilled to be there. The food was amazing as was our table mates. The chef was not interactive or interesting. There was no singing as there was at other tables around us. At one point after appetizers, the lag until the next course was awkward as was waiting for the check after the meal was over.

The chef prepares our food well but wasn't as ‘flashy' or engaged with our group table the way the chef on other half of the table was. The other rooms were loud and full of laughter and music , ours more quiet.

A lot of fun, service was great, food was good and there was even someone who walked around table to table and gave us live entertainment! And if you stay at the hotel you can take a boat ride to the restaurant, which we also did!

Good, drinks and ambiance was amazing at the Mikado restaurant at Desert Hot Springs JW Marriott! There is a gentleman who came by each Teppanyaki table to sing a song and his voice was amazing!!

The overall experience was excellent. Victor is the perfect host and the chef with the marvelous voice was an amazing surprise. The chicken in my entree was a little dry. Thank you!

We have frequently visited the JW Marriott and have tried many of the restaurants on site. This by far is one of favorites. The food was extremely flavorful, the staff provided phenomenal service Mariel or Mariella I believe and the value was well worth it. We will be back in the near future when we visit the property again. Great job team!

We felt very rushed. Everything was served so quickly. We were still eating while they were handing out to go boxes. We did not get to enjoy our food because we were rushed out of there. I know they're busy and booked and they're just trying to get the other people in 

Carlos is a great guy we really enjoyed watching him cook he did a fantastic job really good sense of humor we have a great time Carlos should get a raise cool hard working guy we are really satisfied with his service thanks
