Mimmo's is our favorite Italian restaurant in Palm Desert. We love their olive tapenade, homemade Burrata with Heirloom tomatoes, their homemade Tagliatelle specials, and their Spumoni Bomba for dessert.
From the moment we walked it it was magic. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Very accommodating. The food was beyond great. I'm
Joey is the best. Please give him a HUGE raise. Service with him is always perfect. Thanks for a great time.
The server was charming and informative, the choices were plentiful, there was no rush either before taking our orders or after service. The cappelini was well received, the eggplant parmigiana was very nice, but the lasagna was overcooked, somewhat dry, thus the four stars rather than five
Good restaurant, interesting choices and authentic. Staff was adequate, however the food was very good. I would definitely recommend the wild mushroom soup, it was amazing.
The food was delicious. A good selection of choices. The veal was so tender you could cut it with a fork. I highly recommend Mimmo's for locals and out of town guests. We will be back!!
Great food great service, our server was rob, he was wonderful. I had the Branzino and my friend had the sole. The poached pear was amazing!!
took 4 friends and they all agreed some of the best Italian food they have ever eaten!! Service was great. Our group ordered the lasagne, risotto, baramundi fish special and butternut squash ravioli and all were excellent!
Very friendly all around. Service is excellent. We had a party of 8 with no problems at all. We all will be going back
We took my 87 year old mom for her first time to Mimmo's - we loved the food, especially the Toscana salad and Branzino, but mom said “the best part of the evening was our server Lalo”. We highly recommend Mimmo's

Well, I took my 87 year mom, who is Italian, who grew up with a dad who owned one of the top restaurants in Connecticut back in the 50s and 60s, and she has an opinion. From the first bite of her pasta dish, and for many more bites, she kept telling me how good her dish was. And I had a similar experience. When I come in to visit from LA, this is going to be a regular visit. Thank you, Mimmo's for a great evening.
We had a really nice dinner. My only comment to be honest was the waiters seem to be like very matter-of-fact and not really as friendly and we felt as I would like it for a local place like this. But other than that food was good. The wine pour was low, guess that's what's happening these days $$$ . but it was still OK.
I am Italian and I am very picky when dining out for Italian food. Mimmo's is excellent. The food is homemade. The ambiance lovely and the servers attentive as needed and non-intrusive. Look no further for your Italian fix. Do yourself a favor and dine at Mimmo's
The service was excellent as usual and the setting was nice. Our group of six with four folks for the first time, all agreed that the pasta dishes were a bit bland. My spicy puttanesca was definitely not spicy at all. I really like the food at Mimmo's and the Sand Dabs and Sole we had last time was excellent, but tonight the pastas (everyone had a pasta dish) just seemed a bit off the usual outstanding level.
Our first time and it was wonderful! Our waiter was very friendly, attentive and helped with food recommendations. We will definitely be back!
