Best food in Palm Desert. Staff is excellent and very knowledgeable. Restaurant is beautiful with large outdoor seating. You feel like royalty. I can recommend it to anyone.

We’ve been fans of this upscale restaurant since they first opened. Mitch and his wife Melissa are hands-on owners and at least one of them is usually there to greet you. The large bar with plenty of seating and unique decor boasts a terrific happy hour. You’ll enjoy top notch cocktails and a stunning wine list. The dining menu has something for everyone—including a fabulous sushi bar whose items can be enjoyed anywhere on site. My faves—salmon sashimi and a roll called the “808.”During season the outdoor seating is perfect—make sure you look up while sitting in the covered area! We love it for lunch and dinner. Closed for awhile over the summer—check the website for details. Reservations recommended.

Mitch's is one of our favorite restaurants. Food and service is always consistently top notch. We usually order the Sea Bass which is a wow! Last night, we had their Rib Eye Steak, and we were so impressed. Everything on Mitch's menu is exceptional.

Mitch's remains our favorite restaurant in the desert! Consistent and great every time. We're always sad to see them close about this time of year - but, happy when they return in the fall!

Our waiter Daniel was fantastic and really contributed to making our anniversary dinner a very special night for us. Service was fabulous, food was incredible, complimentary valets were very friendly, hostess was ready for us. It was a wonderful evening. Thank you Mitch's!!

The food was outstanding and the service was fabulous. We had a wonderful birthday celebration. I would highly recommend Mitch's! We have been dining there for years and will continue supporting this wonderful restaurant.

Was there last night,food was excellent as was our server. Got crowded and she had quite a few tables and she did a great job. Next time we go there will go during the week.

Second time at Mitch's and it did not disappoint. We started the meal with crispy rice (fantastic) and shrimp tempura (excellent). My wife and I had the filet. My only comment on the filet was it needed a bit of a char on it and more mushroom sauce. My son had the scallops and loved it and my daughter has sushi and said it was A+. The dinner was topped with an OUTSTANDING chocolate balloon dessert! We will be back!

I visited Mitch's on the last Saturday of Palm Springs Restaurant Week. My thoughts were that they would bring out the best during this week of celebrating local food establishments. The service and atmosphere are definitely above par, but I must have made poor choices and/or Mitch's was not trying to impress. Let's say the appetizer was just beyond my culinary desires (crusty rice and seafood...a/k/a a warm, mixed seafood mini-croquette on a hard, crunchy rice patty), my main dish was salmon, green beans and black rice (very fishy, rubbery beans and why would anyone serve bland, gummy black rice). The worst of all was dessert. I would have been embarrassed to serve that over baked, dry lemon bundt cake smothered with bitter strawberries and covered (probably to hide) with an over buttery, moscarpone whipped cream. Needless to say, my first impression will most likely keep me from ever visiting again, especially at their price level.

Went here for a birthday celebration, and it was a fantastic experience!

It was also everyone's first time coming, and the whole group could not stop talking about how good the food and service were.

Our waitress was so great at checking in with us about our drinks, food, and even making sure we weren't too hot since we sat outside.

I didn't grab any photos of everyone else's food (we dug in almost immediately), but I did get mine! I ordered the jumbo shrimp and scallops plate. It was my first time trying scallops, actually.

I loved the texture of those and that the food was SO hot and tasty. The mashed potatoes were divine (though I'm a sucker for anything potato).

Overall, I would highly recommend coming here for any celebration.

Taste is superb and very fresh tasting fish. Great date night option
