Mitch's is a great seafood and steak restaurant with a massive outdoor patio. Today, we were inside. It was elegant and warm. The waiter service was fantastic and friendly. We loved their masterful cocktails, especially the espresso martini. The sushi and oysters were great appetizers. Their chocolate dessert that melts off was a fun dessert to watch and eat.

Last Saturday night 4 girlfriends and myself celebrated a 70th birthday at Mitch's. We had a reservation booked more than 2 weeks in advance. We were put at a table in the upstairs area......we asked to move once because the table we were put at was in the worst spot up there. Two of us brought special bottles of wine for our birthday friend. After I hour and 45 mins. Our waiter whispered to one of us that they needed our table and they expected us to leave within a few minutes! It was embarrassing for all of us to be told to leave. The waiter even removed the 2 bottles of wine that had NOT yet been emptied. This is the second time I have been to Mitch's and been asked to leave because the table was needed. This other time we were with 2 other couples. NEEDLESS TO SAY, I (we) will never return to this restaurant again! It's one thing to be a successful restaurant in Palm Desert but another thing to treat your customers with such disrespect! Their attitude is arrogant!

Best dining experience. Mitch and Melissa the owners are amazing people. Keith is very charming. Mallory our server set the pace and the tone for a grreat evening. Mitch's on El Paseo is a very well oiled machine. From the cocktails to the cuisine a delightful and delicious experience. SO if you are a cool person with cool friends that are attitude and entitlement free, this is the place for you. No attitude is needed to enjoy great food and a wonderful atmosphere. CHEERS!

Mariana took wonderful care of us on our first visit here! All four of us loved our dishes - crab stuffed shrimp, tuna, sushi and scallops. The chocolate balloon dessert was a decadent ending to a perfect night!
Palm springs prices of course.. but a great spot with a good vibe.

Food and service was great. Problem came when I got my bill. I reviewed the charges, which were correct. I handed my credit card to the waitress. She returned with a charge that was almost double the bill. I told her the amount was incorrect and was told the wrong/higher bill would never be run through. Ends up the wrong/higher bill was run, so was the correct bill, and I was credited for the correct/lower bill. This left me paying an additional $95.00. After contacting Mitch's and explaining, Melissa tried to gaslight the situation. She was obviously busy. No explanation on how this could happen. She was not pleased that I had contacted Visa's Fraud Department. Sorry, but this felt like a fraud situation. My recommendation is to watch your charges carefully.

I had the pleasure of meeting Mitch on a flight from Palm Springs to Vegas. We ended up realizing that we had some things in common during our conversation. At the time I was in an extremely dark place. I had just lost my mother on Saturday and just got done saying good bye to my grandparents. Mitch talked to me and the conversation we had gave me the strength to get home to be with my family!! Thank you Mitch!! I’m home now in Texas with my family.

We have gone to Mitch's for a very long time and I don't recall any time our food was not delivered warm fresh and with a smile. So u have great food excellent service and a friendly ambiance that makes u want to come back again and again. We normally come for special occasions and we are never disappointed.

Wanted to love it but couldn't. Ordered what I thought would be a nice medium rare ribeye but it was just raw all over - almost like all they did was sear the outside and that's it. I know I could have sent it back but a restaurant that prides itself on fine dining, and I have to send back a steak? No thanks, I don't want anyone spitting in my food. Steamed mussels were also ridiculously tiny and not worth it. Server seemed like he was too busy for us the whole night. A couple of different people kept coming by and asked if we were done with our food multiple times - even though there was clearly plenty of food on all of our plates and we kept telling them no - giving us the impression they just wanted us to hurry up and leave. We didn't feel welcome nor wanted. The overall experience left us wishing we'd gone somewhere else. I'm sure a lot of people enjoy this place when they're in town but unfortunately, we weren't one of them.
