Okay this place was incredible. It was super unassuming by its looks but ended up being one of our favorite meals of our trip! We started with the enoki (very umami, savory but sour flavor so good), the chicken teriyaki (very good), the tuna nigiri(melt in your mouth), the signature tuna took (also melt in your mouth incredible) and the star of the show the black snapper nigiri. Absolutely order if that’s in the menu, I’ve never had anything like it!! Hot sake was good to accompany the food. Wasabi was excellent as was the ginger. We will absolutely be back!!

This is a great little sushi restaurant tucked away in Palm Desert. There’s plenty of parking and the service was excellent. The atmosphere in the restaurant is great, and the hostess seems to know everybody there, full of locals. The selection of food was fantastic and we really enjoyed being there. We would highly recommend going there if you’re in the mood for sushi.
This is the real deal - the only top notch sushi in the Palm Springs area. It's popular with locals and the way I noticed it was driving by at 5:00 there was a line of older people waiting to get in right when they opened the doors. Good sign.Service was a bit dictatorial probably because it was so busy and they had to keep things moving but the host (maybe wife and owner) was nice even though she was firm. She just had a ton of patrons to manage. I saw 5-10 parties get turned away since no resy for the short time I waited for my spot to clear.Sushi bar - it took a while to eat since they were so busy. Chefs had their hands full. Also full menu is not available at the sushi bar. On to the sushi - excellent fish. Right up there with best I've had at some of the high end sushi restaurants on either coast- all in an unassuming old school atmosphere. Nothing fancy but yellowtail, tuna, aji, ikura, uni, mackerel, sweet shrimp were all wonderful. The uni was very special. I also loved my negihama roll. Oh expect to pay handsomely for what you get.Take out pork tonkatsu was good also. Had a delicious hot mustard along with the sweet sauce.Don't go here if you're looking for a Philly cheese roll. There's another restaurant somewhere else for that kind of sushi. Go here for great nigiri and the old standbys.

Our favourite Japanese restaurant in Palm Desert! Been coming here for over a year. The food is consistently fresh and tasty. The chefs and staff are great. We love this place for our weekly take-outs as much as we do for going and sitting in and bringing our friends to this place. So grateful for Musashi and their Musashi Roll is a must try!
I've never had a bad meal at your restaurant. It always is better than my expectations. I recommend it to everybody and I always enjoy coming. I brought two people with me last night that have never been there and now you've got two more diners that will make you a regular.

We had made a reservation but felt rushed from the moment we arrived. We were curtly asked if we had made a reservation. We had. We were two minutes early for a 5:15 reservation. After being seated, the server hovered over us after placing the menus on the table and instantly asked: “What would you like?” We stated to discuss what my husband might like and I had some questions about what came with what. The server seemed annoyed and impatient. I ordered a plum wine and the let her know we could not decide instantly. The place was not busy at this hour. The only thing positive about the experience was the good quality of the sushi..... it is very good... and I have lived for a year in Japan. However, I will not be back due to the service

Mediocre at best. We went on Sunday afternoon. The fair was going on and there were two other tables occupied. The service was almost non-existent. I had to ask for napkins, chopsticks and small plates as they plopped a complimentary small seaweed sales in front of us with nothing else. Getting our food took forever and we were underwhelmed by both of our rolls. I had to ask for more water as the servers were barely seen. Anyhow, we won't be back . Oh, did I mention how outrageously expensive they are? We were willing to give them a try assuming they had to be epic for the prices... wrong.
Very fresh and delicious sushi as well as many other options. Our server had great suggestions for appetizers and cooked items as well since we had our 2 year old son and I am pregnant and opt not to eat too much raw seafood. Very comfortable and intimate setting.

The food here is good. However, the service isn't. When we have sat at tables the service was ok. But tonight we sat at the sushi bar and the service was nonexistent. I waited AN HOUR to get a tuna roll. Unacceptable. When I complained to the hostess she blew me off and said to talk to the sushi chef ! She should have handled the problem directly. We ordered an order of tempura which they said would take 10 minutes but it took at least 20! Everyone else around us was getting served straight away! We were seated an hour before them and there were people finishing and leaving before I was served!! If you go don't sit at the sushi bar!!! Nonexistent service!!

Some of the best sushi I have ever eaten. The owner is a nice gal as well. Guessing her husband was the sushi chef. Try it!!

It is very good Japanese food, I wish there were more traditional Japanese dishes It is a small menu except for the sushi menu which is extensive. I was also disappointed that they stopped serving lunch

We are always pleased with Musqshi. Last night had the salmon which I thought was excellent. Had a Sapporo Beer which I had never tasted but thought good. Service excellent. See you again next week.
