Upscale atmosphere with good views and very good food. Fine cocktails. Seared tuna was very good and the bay scallop appetizer cooked in the shell with bacon and cheese was excellent. Short rib entree was good.

Dinner at Pacifica Restaurant was basically a sunset-powered personality upgrade. Brandon, our waiter and unofficial life coach, guided us straight to the beef short ribs on the sunset menu — and WOW. Tender, rich, fall-off-the-bone magic that had us considering ordering a second round “for emotional support.”
Between Brandon’s MVP service and ribs that deserve their own standing ovation, this meal was elite.
Came for dinner, left with a new standard for happiness!
Food was delicious, probably a bit too rich. We had scallop on the oyster shell, soup and salad and we skipped dinner because we were stuffed. Service was rough, they were busy and short handed but the stress was so honest Bout being behind it made the service good.

Have gone there yearly on golf vacation except for last 3 years due to health concerns. Quality of the food has declined since then. Cocktails are expensive and so-so. My husband had the red hot which was more gimmicky than good. The clam chowder was still great but the chilled prawns were tough. You get 5. I had the tuna tartar as my entree and was disappointed. It had some weird white sauce and was shredded and stringy. It came with such dry toast you couldn't even bite through it. I would have gotten the seared ahi tuna but it comes with a pepper coating which I can't eat. Our water was refilled frequently but after being promised bread it took 2 reminders for it to show up. The sea bass was a tiny portion. It was a shame for my husband to need a snack when we got back to our condo. We may have to rethink our yearly tradition.

Nicely seafood restaurant serving up traditional American styled seafood. Friendly staff and great indoor and outdoor seating.

First time after many years dining at Pacifica we were not impressed with our meal. It included Acorn squash that was served in thin slices and totally dried out. I am sure it could of been presented in a more appealing way. In general the food did not meet up to the standards we expected from this restaurant.
Food was delicious. I asked for a small tweak to my order of the short ribs (sauce) and the chef accommodated me. It was de-lish! It was a birthday dinner for a dear friend and I was glad to see that Pacifica is no longer charging for the b-day dessert. Additionally, we enjoyed the 50% off a bottle f wine. My only suggestion would be to lower the music volume. There was just the two of us at the table and it was hard to hear one another. Also, thank you for the wonderful and well placed heaters on the patio. Great evening! Thank you! PS - How about changing up the soup? I don't eat clam chowder or sweet potato soup. Your soups have always been so good. My friend truly enjoyed your chowder...and given it's a seafood restaurant, one expects that.
We had our wedding night dinner here in April 2004 and everything is still simply superb. We live in Pinehurst, N.C. and head to the Coachella Valley each January for a little getaway. Pacifica is one of our “go to” restaurant in Palm Desert during our stay. Probably have dined here 15 times...see if you can secure a cabana (especially during the cooler months in the valley).

It was our first time there but will not be our last! We thoroughly enjoyed our experience there.
It's a busy place but in spite of that, service was great! JD tea was somewhat bland and staff was attentive in addressing it. Food presentation very nice, a bit on the pricey side. Overall, it was a great experience.
Pacifica has been a favorite for many years. Service was really great last night and they were very busy since it was half price wine night.
Great service and food was incredible! Got the ahi - texture and flavor was amzing!

It was delicious and amazing service! The ambiance was spectacular. We experienced an earthquake but the staff was very responsive and made sure we were okay. Thank you!
