Red Lobster

So why 4 stars and not 5? Went for the first time in 31 years, since I got married, and was really surprised at how good the food was. I had the Surf and Turf! The second time, in a week, the Surf and Turf wasn't quite the same. The steak had gristle and wasn't as flavorful this time, but the rest of the meal was exceptional! My wife had the Salmon Bowl and loved it. The vegetables on each of our plates were cooked to perfection. If you had blindfolded me and not told me where I was dining, I would have had no idea I was at a Red Lobster - again, the first time was better this week then the second time. The employees were all very polite and attentive, earning a high tip!

My adult daughter and I enjoyed Lobster Fest for the second time in 2 weeks, and it was great again. We had the same wonderful service by Elena R as she is attentive, caring and helpful. Our order with extra requests was perfect again. The meal was tasty and the lobster was cooked perfectly. Even the broccoli was very flavorful which is new as it was usually rather bland in the past. We were seated in a booth as requested. I would recommend anyone wanting great tasting food to visit Red Lobster-Palm Desert.

The restaurant and bar look nicely done but the food, especially the lobster, was just ok. The lobster especially, was overcooked and a disappointment! Service was exceedingly well done, cheerful and served well.

Great for a casual meal with good food at a good price. The biscuits are always good. The lobster lovers duo was very good 👍🏻

Hubby and I went to red lobster for Valentine’s Day, and Johnathan the waiter and a Manager named Davin decided they were going to ruin that for us! From the none sat down we were ignored for over 10 minutes and Johnathan showed up, sternly not friendly at all! Started by asking any questions with menu, I asked about steak and shrimp, he abruptly said no you can order steak and add shrimp! So I ordered admiral shrimp dinner and hubby ordered Salmon steak and shrimp. Johnathan brought biscuits and drinks, we had waited about 40 minutes for our dinner when Johnathan came back and said “I have bad news, we had a computer glitch and your order didn’t go through” I asked if it was only our order that the glitch affected? Johnathan said “YES”!
I asked for a manager and A man who I assumed was the manager walked passed us 3 times! I then got up and asked him if he was a manager, he said yes! I asked did Johnathan tell you I asked for a manager?” He said yes I just printed and was gonna give you a discount” not even ask what happened!! So when I told him what happened I got a sarcastic laugh! He said he was gonna give me a discount! I told him no thx! I was afraid to eat anything there based on what happened! We were there 2 Hours and left with no meal on our Valentine’s Day! I called the next day and spoke with Jessica the manager and she was very nice and basically let me know Johnathan lied! There was no computer glitch he forgot to put the order in, but I feel it was totally intentional!

Food was tasteless, the service very slow. Atmosphere was ok, but over riding issues made for an overall poor experience.

Parking: Parking lot can be confusing at night. Very poorly lit.

I made a reservation and we arrived 10 minutes early. The place was virtually empty but the hostess told us that the kitchen was on hold and she didn't think she could seat us right away. My husband said there were no people there so why is the kitchen on hold? She then went to seat us but in the lounge. We said we didn't want to be in the lounge so she took us into a back corner of the dining area right next to the door from the lounge and kitchen ...we said we wanted to sit in the main dining room in one of the empty booths and she finally took us in there. Having gone through that, our waiter Johnny was wonderful and attentive and the food was ok...won't be going back there...

Great food! Great service by Jayson. Even though it was Valentines Day and super crowded. Great job Red Lobster!

Lunch specials are a good deal. Tried the new lobster bisque. It was OK but still prefer the clam chowder. A nice addition to fish lunch special were the new hush puppies (2)
