My wife ordered the stuffed pork chop and loved it. So I had to go with the linguine mare and she loved it at lunch today much as I did last night. Servings were large (lots of seafood) and the service was excellent!

Food was quite good, the hand made pasta and wild mushroom dish was really nice. Everyone was friendly but it felt dated from decorating to presentation and overall was a bit flat considering the high reviews here. Nothing special

Incredible Italian food and true old-world hospitality. Every dish tastes authentic and made with care, and the service makes you feel like family. One of Palm Desert's absolute gems. A must-visit every time.

We couldn’t have been happier with our experience at Mamma Gina’s! We managed to book a table for a group of 13 just 45 minutes before arriving on a Monday night, and they handled it flawlessly—seating us comfortably in their private banquet room.
From the start, the staff impressed us with their warm welcome and attentive service. Our waters were constantly topped off, and we were served two kinds of warm bread accompanied by a delicious olive tapenade. The waiter kindly explained, “We can change the pasta type or sauce on your meal, so don’t hesitate to ask,” which really highlighted their flexibility and hospitality.
The food was outstanding. Starters included Caesar and mixed salads (each large enough to share), a beet salad packed with fresh beets, flavorful bruschetta, and minestrone soup. Several of us took the waiter’s recommendation and ordered the special lasagna—layered with a subtle, savory meat sauce and a heavenly béchamel white sauce accompanied by sautéed spinach. Others enjoyed the rigatoni with sausage and peppers, linguine puttanesca, and pomodoro—all cooked to perfection. The portions were generous, ensuring delicious leftovers the next day.
Mamma Gina’s also offers a well-curated wine list and a full bar. I highly recommend this restaurant for its outstanding service, top-quality food, generous portions, and inviting atmosphere. Several people in our group were still raving about the meal days later and telling others to give it a try—you’ll have a delightful dining experience!

We throughly enjoyed our dinner at Mama Ginas. The food was great and the service was great.

Food perfect, customer service perfect, the only thing will be to have some music in the restaurant that you barely can hear but something that you can hear.

Everyone had a wonderful time, everyone but me had an exceptional meal. My husband loved his Veal Chop Parmigiano. I had ordered the Eggplant Parm on previous visits and was always impressed with the freshness of it. This time it definitely tasted like it was frozen and microwaved, very mushy and bready tasting. Gave us two lovely desserts as both my husband and I were celebrating our Anniversary as well as yeh friends we were with.

We had outstanding food and service. Felt like a very special evening even though we were searching for dinner options close to our hotel. I would travel here to eat here again!

Our experience was not good, the service and wait staff were great, but the two dishes my wife and I had were not good. My dinner had a mushroom sauce that was extremely salty, could not eat it, vegetables were cold when food arrived, and the potatoes were fried chunks, also cold, rather than mashed as the menu started. Wife had the not so special pasta special that night and again she did not finish it as the flavor was not good, small portions for the price, which if the quality justified the price we would be fine with that but in our case it fell way short. Bread was good, wine was good our waiter Caesar was great but the kitchen staff needs some help. We will not go back based on our experience but for those that may go here I would advise don't be afraid to send bad food back to the kitchen till they get it right you certainly pay for better quality than what we got from our visit here. Very disappointed in food quality.

We come here every time we visit Palm Desert and it's been our anniversary celebration location the last 3 times. Best place for delicious food (omg, even the calamari is delectable!), scrumptious drinks and impeccable service! We love Mamma Gina's!

When we want date night to include great wine, fabulous meal selections and great servers, we try to visit Mama Gina. Our delightful server Ceasar makes the evening as enjoyable as the food. A great place to spend an evening with just the two of you or to celebrate an event with a group, it's a great place to dine here in the heart of Palm Desert.

Procuito and melon nice. Ceasar salad very good shrimp scampi excellent. Pounded veal chop for veal parmigiana excellent napoleon very light and tasty Their best can by glass needs improvement and took too long to get decaf latte. They charged for it should've comped it Overall an 8.5-9 out of 10. We'll go back again
