The best of Palm Desert. Always feels personal and welcoming when there. The food is fantastic and authentic, consistently. Service is the best. Cesar is amazing, never let him go.

The food was delicious and the dishes were piping hot when served, an indication that the plates were delivered to the table as soon as they were ready rather that sitting under a heat lamp. the wait staff was very friendly and attentive. It was a birthday dinner and the birthday guest received a nice comp desert. Only complaint was that the sauce was left off/removed from the left over portion we took home.

Really good meal of mushroom soup, poached pear salad with walnuts and goat cheese, homemade fettuccine with porcini mushrooms and truffle butter, chocolate tort desert. The pasta dish was absolutely incredible and one of best I remember. Highly recommend for great Italian meal.
I have been told for years to try this restaurant and must say, disappointed that we did. Service was weak to say the least and food was totally meh to bad. We did not want drinks and it seemed like we were dismissed as not worth serving, knowing we would not be spiking the bill with alcohol. Prices were crazy expensive for just an average Italian neighborhood style restaurant. Friend ordered bolognese which he felt tasted off and reheated too much. Husband ordered eggplant parm, which he generally loves. It was just a mush plopped on a plate. No layers and way too many bread crumbs made it gloppy and no eggplant taste. My Mediterranean style salmon was supposed to be prepared with capers and olives—it had a thumb-sized little plop of a tapenade on the side. Hardly prepared with olives and capers. Only happy person ordered shrimp scampi. We all ordered salads. The wedge was nice, but the Caesar had almost zero dressing. Couldn't get a waiter's attention at all to get more. Even waived to one, made eye contact and the. he walked out of the room. Finally asked the bus boy for more dressing, he said ok and 20 minutes later (we timed) no dressing. Others were all done with salads before our waiter came back to serve drinks to the table next to us. My friend stood up to get him to come to our table so my husband could get more dressing. Crazy. It's was like we were invisible. Poor service and indifferent food—not sure what the draw is here.

We were celebrating our anniversary. Upon arrival we were greeted and wished a happy anniversary. Our table for two was in an alcove on the side of the room. Our waiter Ceasar came to the table and wished us a Happy anniversary and gave us time to look at the menu. Although the restaurant was busy, we did not feel rushed and were given time in between courses. As always the food was excellent. We always make it a point to have dinner here when we visit Palm Desert and it did not disappoint. We were given a complementary dessert.

The experience did not represent the reputation. The food was less than flavorful. Too many kids not behaving accordingly. Service was OK but again not up to its reputation. For fine Italian food with impeccable service and quality Castelli's is the ticket. Our go too here on out for sure
