It is situated on a lagoon with black swans, other waterfowl and decoratively lit electric tour boats

We had an amazing experience at Rockwood. We brought our 2 & 5 year old for our 5 year olds bday. We sat right on the water which the kids loved because they got to see the ducks, swans & boats going by. The food was excellent from the focaccia bread to our scallops & lamb and this kids loved their kids options. But what truly made the experience was our server Lance. Lance was knowledgeable, kind, funny and wonderful to our little ones. Next time we're in town we'll definitely be back.

I was attending a work conference and decided to take myself out to dinner at the hotel. I had the salmon as the main entree and cream brûlée for dessert. Both were excellent. The salmon was cooked perfectly and had a nice flavor. The staff was very friendly and the restaurant has a great atmosphere for a nice relaxed dinner.

Overall not a memorable experience... this restaurant is in the middle of a very scenic and beautiful area in the JW Marriott Golf resort. Aside from the visuals that's where unfortunately our night was positive. First of all I'll say despite the food review here, the staff and service was excellent. Attentive, friendly, very helpful, and subsequently very apologetic and willing to make things right which we appreciated very much. However, the food was mediocre... steak, however very expensive (and ala carte) was just not very good. Despite the prep being wrong (got medium well vs. medium), the meat was dry and overall wasn't appetizing. The side I had (loaded baked potato) was also dry. and overcooked. If not for the great staff, the review would be far worse.

We had the chicken dinner as it was our Canadian Thanksgiving. It was absolutely delicious and the leftovers the next day were very good too! We had an old-fashioned and the gin apple cocktail, which was a little sweet and we enjoyed the focaccia bread and the dates as an appetizer. All was delicious. Our waiter and the bus boy were very attentive and engaging. The hostess, however, was very hard to hear and we didn't understand any of the instructions she gave us two different times.
We did not receive a warm welcome at the reception desk upon checking in for our reservation. The associate was rude and never acknowledged our presence. The hours for brunch were over; therefore, we had to order from the menu. Additionally, I paid. $20 for the experience of sitting outside. It was never clear the latter only guaranteed outside seating. That was a waste of money. We were disappointed with what we experienced yesterday. Our previous visits were always pleasant. This is our last time eating there.

We went for our Anniversary dinner. Oh my goodness, what a fantastic dinner. We started out with the Mezze appetizer, which was very nice For entrees the wife had the Filet Mignon, she liked the cook on it and said it was very good.She had the brussel sprouts for a side and said they were the best she's ever had. I agree. Our waitress said the secret is they deep fry them. I had the braised lamb shank and I can't believe how good it was, tender, fall off the bone deliciousness. Came with mashed potatoes and broccolini. Yum We finished off the evening with an Afrogoto, and they had decaf espresso to top it off with. That was great Our server Arial made the whole experience special. Easily one of the top 3 or 4 dinners we've had Just Awesome 👍

Went for a relaxing weekend at the JW and decided to try this restaurant. We were not disappointed. The ambiance, food and music were great! Our server went above and beyond to make sure our night was great. We mentioned we celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary this year and she brought us a celebratory dessert to keep the celebration going. Highly recommend this resturant.
