I was attending a work conference and decided to take myself out to dinner at the hotel. I had the salmon as the main entree and cream brûlée for dessert. Both were excellent. The salmon was cooked perfectly and had a nice flavor. The staff was very friendly and the restaurant has a great atmosphere for a nice relaxed dinner.

Overall not a memorable experience... this restaurant is in the middle of a very scenic and beautiful area in the JW Marriott Golf resort. Aside from the visuals that's where unfortunately our night was positive. First of all I'll say despite the food review here, the staff and service was excellent. Attentive, friendly, very helpful, and subsequently very apologetic and willing to make things right which we appreciated very much. However, the food was mediocre... steak, however very expensive (and ala carte) was just not very good. Despite the prep being wrong (got medium well vs. medium), the meat was dry and overall wasn't appetizing. The side I had (loaded baked potato) was also dry. and overcooked. If not for the great staff, the review would be far worse.

We had the chicken dinner as it was our Canadian Thanksgiving. It was absolutely delicious and the leftovers the next day were very good too! We had an old-fashioned and the gin apple cocktail, which was a little sweet and we enjoyed the focaccia bread and the dates as an appetizer. All was delicious. Our waiter and the bus boy were very attentive and engaging. The hostess, however, was very hard to hear and we didn't understand any of the instructions she gave us two different times.

We did not receive a warm welcome at the reception desk upon checking in for our reservation. The associate was rude and never acknowledged our presence. The hours for brunch were over; therefore, we had to order from the menu. Additionally, I paid. $20 for the experience of sitting outside. It was never clear the latter only guaranteed outside seating. That was a waste of money. We were disappointed with what we experienced yesterday. Our previous visits were always pleasant. This is our last time eating there.

Excellent service and food was served with professional attitude and nicely plated. Food menu is limited I think, but there is something for everyone. A nice all round restaurant. We'd go back for sure.

Went for a relaxing weekend at the JW and decided to try this restaurant. We were not disappointed. The ambiance, food and music were great! Our server went above and beyond to make sure our night was great. We mentioned we celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary this year and she brought us a celebratory dessert to keep the celebration going. Highly recommend this resturant.

Amazing dinner outdoors by the water. Esmeralda provided us with excellent service. The food was all fresh and tasty. We had: 1) Caprese Salad (Burrata Cheese, Heirloom Tomato, Bread Crisp, Micro Basil, Balsamic Reduction) 2) West Coast Crab Cake (Sweet Thai Chili Butter, Fennel Curtido Slaw); 3) Wild Caught Sea Scallops (Celeriac Puree, Miso Glaze, Frisee, Sorrel, Green Apple, Sage Gremolata) 4) Skuna Bay Salmon (Wild Rice Pilaf, Spaghetti Squash, Tuscan Kale, Sweet Apple Mostarda, Citrus Vinaigrette) 5) Sticky Toffee Pouding

Excellent experience. Drinks and food were a 10/10. Portion size was more than enough. The staff was so friendly. My husband and I came for our 1 year anniversary, they made this experience beyond special. We are also staying on the resort so coming here was convenient, but the restaurant's ambience was still unique.

It was okay. The food was good but nothing to write home about especially for the price. They had a live singer inside but didn't put it on the speakers outside. I booked an outside waterfront table for the ambiance but I honestly think it would've been nicer inside. There was nothing really bad about our experience but also nothing really good and considering the price, we probably won't go again.

For 1st time guests like us if the temperature is 90° out just decide when you arrive if you want inside or outside. Overall experience was pretty good. The food was phenomenal, we had cocktails, and they were very, very sugary and sticky the cups were sticky. Servers were checking in regularly to make sure everything was okay and filling the waters. We also had breakfast here. On august 30th. The breakfast was edible. I feel like with the breakfast buffet you could get better food at a regular hotel. The omelet was pretty good.

I had a really incredible dinner tonight at Rockwood Grill. They offered a weeknight price fixed three course dinner for $48 and I found the selections to be really generous and delicious. I started with a Caesar salad, and got the rotisserie chicken over scrumptious mashed potatoes. I was too full for my dessert, so I took it to go. My server, Isidro P, was marvelous, kind, patient, helpful, and really made my meal top-notch. The views were beautiful, and the food was absolutely delicious. I will return next month on my next business trip and hope for the exact same experience.

Our experience at Rockwood Grill was extremely disappointing. We had to wait 15 minutes just for the waiter to come to our table. The service was slow and unfriendly. At the end of our meal, the waiter rudely started taking away our plates while we were still eating, as if trying to push us out. This was unacceptable and very disrespectful. Definitely not a place I would recommend.
