Our 1st visit for my son's 37th. He enjoyed it, steak and seafood. Up charge 4.50 for fried rice, edamame garlic and the spicy lacked flavor. Offered a whole 10.00 off coupon from my phone, mgmt refused to honor unless printed (stated no where) with a 400.00 tab, 3 adult meals and a sushi roll and a kids meal. Some kind of piece of cake was given and a bongo, the party sings, lol...

My family and I have eaten a shotgun in Pasadena for over 35 years. I surprised my wife and took her here for Valentine's Day and we had a delightful evening. However, The noise level is extremely high. And I ordered the Waygu steak, which wasn't very tender and disappointing. Service was excellent and my wife enjoyed her meal.

Wost service I've ever experienced at any restaurant and im not one to complain as a former server myself. Server forgot food, drinks, appetizers and we seen her only twice. We had a birthday and still nothing. Manager didn't seem to care either. Dont go here if your expecting the service to match the price.

To start off i would say a lot of restaurants have been lacking quality service, NOT shogun. Food was great as well. I wanna give a shout out to Ruben too for showing us outstanding customer service. DEFINITELY will be back!!

The restaurant was very pretty. Our server was OK. We had drinks at the bar which was very nice and we were able to enjoy happy hour so that was great. Our appetizers were delicious and the main course was very good. Our chef did OK. He was very nice, not overly entertaining though so that part was a little disappointing but overall we enjoyed.

We had a great time, and the food was very tasty overall. The chef was engaging and personable, and everything was cooked properly. The waitress was attentive and professional. A fun experience, and based on the crowds (it was PACKED), Shogun is clearly doing things right!

The chef was not very enthusiastic. He mentioned that it was his first night and it should. There were no tricks to make it exciting as other restaurants of this type. We were disappointed in the food as it was not seasoned very well and the portions were small for the price. My experience at Shogun was disappointing. Don't know if I will ever return.
