Made reservations, the host notified us they were behind, didn’t sit for 20min. Once we sat our meal/chef arrived an hour and 40min later. A few tables next to us came and left before our chef started cooking the meat even though our meal was ordered. We were celebrating a birthday and it was a disappointing experience overall, nothing special. The chef was nice and cooked our meal very well. The staff and manager lacked. I wouldn’t come back here unless all other teppan restaurants closed in the desert. I wouldn’t come with a high or any expectations.

I have ate at all the local hibatchi restaurants this is by far my favorite. This is the only one that serves both salad and soup with dinner. I also love they offer onion soup.

I gave it one star because I couldn't give less, but it has been my worst experience, we had a reservation and we waited more than half an hour for a table, an hour and a half for them to take our order, we ordered drinks and it took more than two hours to bring them in In total we waited more than three hours for the food, they didn't even apologize, I would never return to that place, the only redeeming thing was the cook Yova, he did offer us very good service.

"Terrible service! Went to Shogun with high hopes, but was sorely disappointed. Waited for ages without anyone even acknowledging our presence. Staff seemed too busy chatting amongst themselves to bother serving customers. Ended up leaving hungry and frustrated. Won't be returning anytime soon." I was seated at the dinning area.

I am visiting the Palm Desert area for spring break with my family. My family that lives in the area brought us to this restaurant for a 10 person family dinner. We love hibachi for family events.We wanted to have a good time and the food was real good. But the service was not ready for prime time. Lots of lack of service and inattentive service. Missed items and forgot things. And then brought the bill with items we never received. And when we brought this up they argued with us.Likely won’t be back and hopefully they get things together quickly. And good luck!

We have been here a few times, and enjoyed our food every time. Previously, we’ve been there for Teppanyaki, but this visit we ended up having just sushi. The sushi was very flavorful looked great, and tasted fantastic. The price for the sushi was great and we enjoy coming here, there is lots of car parking and the atmosphere is great.

Took my wife and our friend for a Saturday Birthday lunch and had a great experience and awesome lunch that included Rib Eye Steak, Sesame Chicken, Shrimp Scampi, Beverages, and sides excellently prepared by Shogun Chef Tommy. We had the lunch specials and left with a full stomach for $100.00.I tried calling the night before around closing time for reservations but no one answered. So I left an EMAIL and Armando the GM called me the next morning and took care of my reservations. Thank You !

Sorry, but won’t be back!! Third time was it for us. Why ask if you are celebrating an event and then do absolutely nothing??? Drinks took forever to be served, cut roll took forever. Why ask if we need wasabi if you have no intention of bringing it back when we say yes?? We never saw our server, would have liked to order another round of drinks, but she never came back. Bussed our own table. Chef had no personality and mumbled everything he said to us. Sorry to say Very disappointed.
