We came to experience the champagne pairing with caviar flavored dinner. We had a five course meal and every meal was excellent and the presentation was great maybe fantastic. We learned a lot about the champagne being served from Michael and the service was impeccable. We had a great conversation with Tara the wine manager and we had a great time. Thank you Sylvain steakhouse for a great night.
The restaurant was not properly staffed and our waitress was juggling so many tables, service was very slow. Most of our meals were good. The Tomahawk had to be sent back twice and ultimately we said we don't want it. The restaurant appearance is quite worn. Not one I will be back to.
What a lovely experience! Party of four with a variety of dishes....all cooked perfectly. Took advantage of the three course special and it was delicious. Our server, Francisco, was the best. Will ask for him next time.
Delicious meal, very attentive server. We had the pre fixe dinner. Very reasonably priced many choices.
Really disappointing experience. Were it not for the great service we received, it would have been a total wash. My husband ordered a "prime New York strip steak", that was no more than a quarter of an inch thick. It was ordered, charred, medium rare", and came out neither charred nor rare. It looked like something you might get as an airline meal. For $58. Two of the three side we ordered – asparagus and Brussels sprouts, were woefully small – nowhere near large enough to share amongst a table of 4. There are simply too many excellent restaurants in the desert for us to waste our dining experience and money at Sullivans.
Overall, the experience was good, but the seating was disappointing. As a party of two, we were seated next to a very loud group of eight. Their behavior was disruptive, and being placed right next to them took away from what should have been an enjoyable dinner.
We ordered a seafood tower as an appetizer for the table. That took approximately 45 minutes to come out. Each of our second courses came out one at a time, leaving all of us to eat our meals alone. No one from the waiter to the manager ever apologized.
Wonderful as always. Rare filet was rare, just as we love it. The med-well steak needed to be cooked a bit more, but all three were delicious. Birthday dessert was delightful. It's expensive (what steakhouse isn't these days?) but we felt it was actually worth it. Our server was delightful and helpful when my drink came, Pink Gin Fizz, and it turned out to be a mocktail--it didn't say that on the menu. But then we saw it was 0% alcohol gin. Should be on a separate mocktail menu, not under the regular drinks. He added real gin and it was sensational! Good evening had by all.
Well we started in the bar with Martinis and our server didn't know what a little dirty martini meant. When drink arrived it looked like the entire jar of olive juice was in the drink. We decided to order the triple special which was choice of caesar, mixed greens or lobster bisque and then a choice of different steaks and dessert. The dessert was what made the decision as they were serving bananas foster bread pudding. It sounded delicious. Although we knew we wanted that for our choice, our server said she would ask later what we decided only to find out that they were out of the dessert. Our reservation was 7pm, so not sure how they were already out of our choice. But before the dessert was our filets. The reason I loved going to Sullivans is that they offer 4 different sauces for the steak, all complimentary. My bernaise sauce came cold and solid. It was the consistency of lumpy cold butter. I asked for a new batch and it was the same. I asked to see the chef and was told he had already gone home. The manager came by and was clearly embarrassed at the sauce and came back with a more normal consistency of bernaise, but since it was cold, it makes me think they just added some cold milk to it and whipped it up. Very disappointing. We will not be back!!
We had a great time tonight. The food was great but our server Amy really made our night. She paid great attention to us and made the night memorable. I would recommend.

Very simple it’s a steak house and a chain at that; it should be good, easy, nice dinner. Do not waste your time and money here! The service was beyond sub par and that’s being kind. The food to begin with is absolutely not as fresh as they “say.” Almost everything asked about was “out of this evening” and the lobster bisque tasted like two day old gumbo out of a can. Enough said as there is nothing positive to say!
Maybe it was because they were having an early Christmas party, but their service was extremely slow - took us over an hour and a half to get our party of 4's entries. When they arrived 1 filet mignon and 1 rib eye were not up to Sullivan's usual stellar standards. Fortunately when we complained to the manager they made good. The replacement steaks were superb and the manager also discounted our bill for our inconvenience. Restored our faith in Sullivans as a go-to restaurant. Thanks Sullivans for making things right.
Gabriel our waiter was very friendly but incredibly inefficient...ordered drinks and oysters...drinks took a while but the oysters were about 20-25 mins... we told Gabriel not to worry...we were chilling...oysters Rockefeller came but the cheese was completely burned on top..not ooey gooey...but a thick piece of rubber...ordered dinner with two soups...one for each of us...also 2 more martinis...waited a while no martinis...no soup...saw the manager walking around with 2 bowls of soup..she went back to the kitchen..5 minutes later brings them out again and passes them to us...one is medium warm. The other is cold...sent the cold one back...waiter said new staff didn't know procedure to warm soup...really..?.....still no martinis....told manager we were waiting...4 minutes later she comes back asking if we want garnish/olives...our martinis did not have garnishes....two martinis arrive...clear they are not ours...we wait...finally get our second drink about an hour or more after we arrive...the second French 75 tastes nothing like the first one...was missing elderflower...asked for glass of ice as martinis/cocktail's were not cold ....waited 5-10 minutes went to the bar to get ice myself..only one customer in bar...so that was not reason for poor service...didn't get much better with mains...except bernaise sauce was phenomenal...couldn't flag waiter for bill so asked manager to pack desert so we could pay and go...what was intended to be a good date nite ended up being an expensive evening of frustration ...we have been there multiple times before...never like this..
This used to be a favorite ---but now it is so tired.....gloomy atmosphere; food so so; almost empty when most restaurants were full. Sad that is have deteriorated since the Pandemic
My date night experience was exceptional! The service was top-notch, with our server providing attentive and very helpful assistance.
