I get the same taste at a mall sushi kiosk. Nothing major to see here.
My husband and I love sushi. The Venue is a beautifully designed, moody restaurant on the El Paseo shopping strip. We have been to Venue numerous times, but last night was our favourite. From the moment we were greeted at the door, to our server being attentive and charming, we agree our meal was the best sushi we have ever had. Well done.

had an amazing dinner with my family here, ordered all the nigiri options on the social hour menu, miso soup, toro sashimi, bao buns, and their limited edition cocktail “autumn’s embrace”. We loved everything. Our server Mila was incredible, super attentive, kind and helpful. I would 100% come back just for her service.

We did the Omakase for our first anniversary and the food was beyond amazing. The entire experience exceeded our expectations on every level and we will be returning as soon as we can make it back to Palm Desert. Worth every cent!

Did the Omakase with my Partner for our one year anniversary. Former Chef here. It was probably one of the top 5 meals I've ever had. The staff was awesome. Mila the server nailed it from the drink suggestions to being knowledgeable and personable. Chef Carlos kept us paced us just right so we were never twiddling our fingers or feeling rushed, but had some time to digest. It was Just the right amount of food for us to feel full. They were willing to modify based on any dietary preferences, which we didn't. If I had one critique, it has legitimately ruined most other sushi restaurants for us, it was just that good. If you're on the edge of the doing to Omakase just bite the bullet, well worth it.
The food was delicious! I recommend the spicy tuna tostadas, oysters, and anything your waiter suggests. Everything exceeded our expectations. The staff was welcoming and attentive.
We enjoyed our Omakase- Chef's Tasting Menu. Never waited for anything. Service was outstanding. Food was enjoyable and every course a surprise! Including the Smoked Jar Wagu. Amazing. Never looked at a menu. It was something we normally wouldn't tried. But we will do it again!
Fairly well executed dishes. Their pricing was rather expensive, almost to a Nobu level....not sure if that's just what the area calls for?
We enjoyed the Wagyu Beef Carpacio, and a couple of the rolls. The appetizers are good, nothing out of the ordinary. The shrimp tempura was crispy and not oily.
The restaurant itself is rather small so definitely recommend a reservation.

Right on El Paseo ?. Amazing service, hip atmosphere, and great sushi. Love the cocktails too. They use fresh juices! Happy hour is excellent and the summer is all day!

After reading the chefs description of his food, we were excited to try. Sushi was good. Not great, not bad, but fine. The cocktails were delicious, but service was atrocious for a venue as small as it was.
Had a wonderful experience. My husband and I did the Omakase and it was absolutely amazing! Everything was so fresh! Our server was Mila and she was so friendly and welcoming! Explained everything to us as it was brought out. We were there for about 2 and a half hours and it was nothing but outstanding! Chefs were amazing! The atmosphere was lovely. The hostess was on it. We will definitely be back and will recommend to everyone!

Thoroughly enjoyable experience. Intimate, with flair. Venue's beautifully designed bar and creative team delivered creative cocktails, extraordinary sushi with great service. Happy hour small dishes, great sake choices, you won't be disappointed. Not your typical sushi bar. Prices were surprisingly reasonable.
Great food from the taste to the presentation. The staff are great and the vibe is fantastic!
