The Venue Sushi & Spirits Redefined

Venue has a great baron its menu and a very nice Happy Hour menu with smaller portions. The quality of the fish is outstanding.

Great service and food! Tried all their Happy Hour rolls and they are fantastic. I would definitely come back again.

Nothing was bad yet not really amazing either. The majority of the rolls have cheap crab meat as a filler. It's was fresh for what limited items we ordered while avoiding the crab meat. Nigiri is price per piece-be aware, not 2 pieces like the rest of the world.

Service was seamless and friendly, every bite was fresh and full of flavor and the overall vibe was upbeat. We ordered our favorites, shishito peppers, and a few rolls, the Scandinavian, El Paseo, and the experiment. So glad we made it back in!

We had a reservation at 5:15. Not knowing we made it for happy hour. What a pleasant surprise. They had so many good things on the menu. I believe we've ordered everything. It was so good and so fresh. The staff was fabulous as always. Thank you for making our evening enjoyable.

Quality of the food was very good although there was a limited menu of maki that were truly raw and did not include include something cooked or fried in it. We ultimately tried the Lollipop, The Experiment and the Scandinavian. All three were very good. We also had the edamame which were very good and fresh, the Shishito peppers which were also very good and not overly spicy, and the broccolini with boy choy. All the veggies were delicious. Overall, good, but felt overpriced based on what you get. The server seemed to be having a tough day. Perhaps she had a long shift or a tough weekend. It was dinner on Mother's Day so may have been busy all day.

We went for happy hour at The Venue. We thought those prices were pretty decent. The sushi we ordered was delicious! We ordered the salmon, yellow tale and scallops as well as the koko, the venue and the Sandfish. Also had the margarita! The sunomono needed a bit more soaking in the rice vinegar for a tad more flavor. Overall everything was delicious.

Enjoyed dinner at Venue on their outdoor patio. Had a very pleasant waitress. Patio is set back along el Paseo which was nice. Ordered a few rolls:el Paseo, Dragon, Venue. All were very tasty.

Me along my friend made a reservation for 5:30pm yesterday to celebrate her acceptance letter from UC Berkeley and our server; Karina R. made our experience feel welcoming and special. The food was delicious and everyone including the Busser were exceptional and really put attention to detail.

disguting. it took about 5 minutes to get water with no waiter in sight. right as i got my water, there was lipstick on the rim of the glass! the wasabi looked like it had been sitting there for days and it was gross. we left without even ordering because there was no point of waiting even longer.

Was a great experience great food, great service, find it's better during season than off-season. But really enjoy the restaurant.

We had a late reservation. Only 1 or two customers were there. Our server greeted us with “the kitchen closes at 9. It was 8:40, we actually had a 9:00 reservation. Good thing we got there early. The staff couldn't wait for us to leave. I ate as fast as I could.

I ordered the tuna sashimi. It was huge pieces, which made it difficult to eat. The texture was not good. It tasted like it had been frozen and then thawed. Some of the worst sashimi I've had. The service was good.

Went because of great reviews. The Service was very good, but “The Experiment” roll was over priced and not that great. California roll very good. Will go back but different rolls.

Food was meh, sever was impatient prices where insane for what you got. Don’t mind paying for great food and great service. This place had none of these.
