Beautiful hotel and restaurant space. Unfortunately, the service was inattentive at best. Food was mediocre. Would love for this place to be successful, but they need to drastically improve their game.
We were guests at the Thompson and didn’t have a reservation for dinner but the manager Mariana was still open to trying to get us in when she could. We ended up coming back the next night and are so glad we did! Great food, kind waiters, and immaculate vibes. This is a new hotel restaurant so understandably they are still working small things out, but their kindness, hospitality, and delicious food make it worthwhile.
Category is: ssslllooowww. Before getting into all of that, the food was exceptional. Everything we tried was fantastic. A friend got the burger and said to definitely skip that, but the Mediterranean dishes were so delicious! Now back to the rest….everything was incredibly slow. The bar was incredibly slow with drinks - this was arguably the biggest problem. However, the table service and kitchen were nearly equally as slow. We had to flag someone down to close out our check...
