First time trying Al Dente. From the reviews, it sounds outstanding, and the service absolutely was. They were very attentive every step of the way. My veal marsala was delicious, and I would definitely order it again. My partner ordered the chicken parm and it was just ok; however, he really loved the olio pasta. If you are in downtown PS, I'd recommend trying.

Advertised restaurant week and didn’t have any of the desserts but made us pay full price. Food was not good.

First visit to this long standing family owned Italian classic. We went for the Greater Palm Springs Restaurant Week. We had a fantastic time, with old school personal attention, fine Italian dishes, and bonus 1/3 off bottled wine to celebrate their 33 years in business. Beet and Arugula salad to start. Veal piccata and sautéed spinach as main. My wife enjoyed a buffalo mozzarella salad, and Tagliatelle with Arrabbiata sauce. Very tasty! Cheesecake and Lemoncello tartufo! Will definitely return!

Fresh and delicious Italian food!

We have visited many times and this visit left us disappointed. We selected from the Restaurant Week specials (which was required). My veal was shoe leather. Disappointing.

We went to Al Dente during Palm Springs Restaurant Week and even the "limited option" choices were delicious and the service very attentive!

We could not have been happier with our entree selections (Chicken Marsala and Frutti di Mare). My husband also ordered a Caesar salad which he loved. The staff was extremely attentive, and the ambiance of the outside seating with the misters was perfect in the 100 degree heat. Kendra is a gracious and friendly owner who has built a wonderful restaurant experience for her diners. We'll be back.

We thought we’d try Al Dente for dinner as we were staying not far away and felt like an Italian dinner. After reading the mixed reviews online, we went anyway. We should have listened to the negative reviews! Firstly, we ordered a ‘grey goose pear martini’ according to the menu. It arrived as a watery drink, not grey goose. They replaced it with a grey goose martini which was very nice, but not hard to get right. We ordered the ‘beef carpaccio with white truffle oil and arugula’. What arrived was pale, unpalatable looking beef with a smell to it, fresh arugula and no truffle oil. We asked for a side of truffle oil and was presented with an oil/lemon juice mix. On further questioning, we were told there was no truffle oil. We ordered the lobster ravioli, asked if it was house made, and Sebastian, our attentive waiter, said he would check. The ravioli is not made on site. By this point we lost all faith we would enjoy anything they prepared for us, asked for the check and left. We walked across the road to Lola Rose at the Thompson Hotel, where everything is fresh and beautifully prepared.

Have been coming to Al Dente for many years, and their food has been consistently great! Excellent shellfish pasta! Their service was also excellent, my wife got spoiled by their attention.

I have dined here multiple times. It is one of my go to places in Palm Springs. Food is consistently good and service is excellent.

I brought my friend from Sienna there for dinner. We were served overcooked pasta with lukewarm sauce. It was disappointing and on the pricier side.

We have lived in Palm Springs for almost 20 years but have never eaten here until last night and it was.....FANTASTIC! The food was SO good and so flavorful. Several of us had the arugula salad with shaved parmesan and a wonderful lemon/olive oil drizzle. The gnocchi with pomodoro sauce and burrata was so intensely flavorful and so tomatoey!! The mahi mahi with lemon butter caper sauce was great. And everything was a great value. I can't believe we waited so long to eat here. We will def go back!

We go for the supremely delicious pasta and arribbiata sauce and the superior service from the wait staff, especially from Gonzales and his colleagues!

The pasta dishes were too good here. I had a smoked salmon in cream sauce on linguine, my wife had meatballs in red sauce on ribbon pasta. It was difficult not to over eat. We shared a bowl of broccoli soup, no cream and it was amazing. I was checking the internet for recipes on the way out. And for dessert we split a piece of tiramisu. I would definitely go back here. You should try it., but reservations are recommended.
