Our drinks were so good, I had the Friendo and my husband had the Buggy Whip- both delicious! Our yucca fries were so good we ended up getting 2 orders? Loved it and next time we're in town we'll be back!!?

There are so many reasons to love this place starting with the people. Everyone here is personable, kind and fun. They listen to and do their best to accommodate every request (even with some of the more trying customers I have seen over the years). They also don't try to upsell you on higher-end items if they don't think you'd get the most out of it. The drinks are well-balanced and delicious. The people set the vibe for the entire place and they make it warm and welcoming.The food is also phenomenal. The Nashville Chicken Sandwich and Nachos with Carne Asada are delicious. Try with the Sandwich without the bun and the side salad and it is still a filling meal. One piece of feedback, I do wish they had a protein-focused appetizer (e.g. Nashville Chicken Strips!) as many of the appetizers are some sorts of fries or nachos. Either way, the food is fantastic and you won't leave hungry!Keep up the great work and kudos to the entire staff that work the front and back of the house!

Had dinner at Blackbook on Friday evening.As usual the service was very slow. I had to get our waiter. Was seated on the patio. No one came out for 15 mins. I ordered the Blackbook burger. Waiter took the order never asked how I wanted it cooked. When the waiter came around 15 mins later I asked him about it and he said there all cooked medium. When I got the burger it was cold it was pink inside which was no problem but so dryer out. No sesoning on the meat at all. The waiter forgot all the sides I ordered like the mayo and ranch dressing. By the time he came back 15 mins later with out the sides once again I was finished eating. He asked me if I needed anything as he asking if I wanted to pay. This restaurant was good at one time but slowly going downhill. Last time I go there you can get a better burger at Wendy’s for a quarter of the price.
We were looking for a unique restaurant during our trip to Palm Springs and came upon very positive reviews for Blackbook. I have to say the other reviewers were right and we had a great experience there. We decided to order a couple of their signature cocktails - Johnny Treason and the Buggy Whip. According to our waiter both were quite popular and I can see why. The Johnny Treason was sweet but not too sweet and had a fruity flavor with the offset from the gin flavor. The Buggy Whip was also slightly fruity and full of strong whiskey flavor. I would recommend both! For food I got the Blackbook Burger. The burger was well cooked and nicely flavored - wasn't dry and the ingredients all came together nicely. I would say the burger was excellent but probably not something you couldn't find elsewhere. The absolute killer was the fries. I chose the Garlic Adobo fries and they were the absolute bomb. Normally garlic fries just has lots of garlic. The adobo really adds a different flavor to the garlic and paired quite well. I would go back just for the fries. Ambience was very cool. The staff was friendly and responsive. Highly recommend!

Good lunch vibe. The server was friendly and the staff kept checking on us making sure our drinks were full. They offered multiple times to refill our drinks. The restaurant is painted all in black with black subway tiles halfway up the wall. Our drink order was taken promptly after we sat down. The food order was taken as our drinks were served. The meal came out all together at the same time. The sandwiches/burgers are large and have good flavor. Their French fries are very good as they seem to be homemade. The side salad leaves something to be desired. Diced tomatoes, diced cucumbers and small chopped lettuce. Overall a good place to stop in. They had a good music selection playing when we came in. Just a good all around vibe.

We love coming here! The food is actually very good for bar food. Great for drinks also. Close to all of the gay bars. Busy on weekends. No reservations, first come first serve. They do have tables that can seat larger parties. Love the indoor-outdoor vibe and music played here. Great for people watching. A few times we’ve come the service has been less than stellar but we come back for the food. Our favs: black book salad, chicken sandwich, burger, tacos, and chicken sandwich. Fries are also very good!
