Did not like the flavor of the pupusas and I order yucca frita con chicharrón the chicharrón was very dry and tough to chew the employees rude because it was closing time they didn't appreciate us coming too close to closing time not coming back

Just tried to order a delivery with Uber Eats. After being able to place and process the order, 15 minutes later they canceled the order with no explanation . If you are not able to prepare and delivery an order why are you on the apps? (Immediately after, they were no longer available on Uber Eats). Very poor customer service.

Usually we like eating the pupusas here and they are very tasty. But finding a piece of metal definitely changed that. My husband was enjoying the food when he found it. He couldn't even eat anymore. I understand things happen but definitely need to be more careful when preparing food.

This was my first time here and OMG, it was amazing. They make your food fresh to order, so everything comes out hot. And the workers were amazing as well. They were courteous. I can't wait to go back. I highly recommend this place to eat, you won't regret it

The selection of pupusas was vast, much more than expected but gave us some new things to try. Got one con loroco and on with carne asade, both amazing. wish I lived in palm springs so I can come here all the time.

After hiking at the Indian Canyons, we came here around 1:30P for a late lunch. The cafe specializes in pupusas, which are basically substantial griddle cakes made of cornmeal and stuffed with fillings like meat, cheese and beans. You go up to the counter to order and the cashier will give you a number to place on the table of your choosing if dining in. They have an ample amount of tables on the patio and we had no trouble grabbing an open one. While the cashier wasn't overly friendly, she answered our questions and was knowledgeable about all the menu items. For example, when we ordered the empanadas, she made sure we knew they were a dessert, not the savory type of empanadas with a crispy shell. We ordered them anyway and appreciated the heads up. She also mentioned that most people can eat one or two pupusas in a single serving when we inquired about their size. + REVUELTAS PUPUSA ($4.50): Filled with cheese, mashed beans and pork, this one had a pretty bold flavor with savory seasonings and a fair amount of heat. There wasn't a ton of pork inside, but I enjoyed every bite. + ASADA CON QUESO PUPUSA ($5.25): A simple steak and cheese, which was good, but not better than the Revueltas in my opinion. Again, this one was pretty light in terms of the amount of meat and the cheese dominated the flavor. + EMPANADA DE PLATANO ($6.50 for 3): Given the choices of bean or cream filling, we selected cream per the cashier's recommendation. The slightly sweet plantain was soft and browned on the outside, filled with a light custard that had a touch of cinnamon. It was fun trying this type of empanada for the first time. Both pupusas were served hot, with a slightly crisp exterior and melty stretchy cheese oozed from the inside as I cut into them. When the waiter served our food, he brought a couple bottles of salsa and a shareable container of slaw. The salsa added an extra oomph to the pupusas. However, I didn't eat any of the slaw since it appears they just rotate the same containers among all the tables. So when a table is done with their meal, the staff takes the container of slaw, maybe tops it off and then brings it out to a new table. It would be better and more SANITARY if they just served a small cup of slaw with each pupusa. I recommend El Salvador Cafe for a quick and fulfilling meal. The pupusas are large pockets of deliciousness served right off the heat. Side notes: - There is a large parking lot since the restaurant is located alongside other shops and eateries. - The restaurant is not far from the airport. With planes taking off every few minutes, it is pretty loud, so the patio isn't the best place to hold a conversation.

The bean and cheese puposa was good. Mushroom and cheese puposa 6/10. Horchata made with soy milk thats a hell no for me. The beef and cheese puposa 2/10. The plaintains 10/10. The pickled cabbage and red dipping sauces ill pass. Free surface parking lot. Make sure call in advance to make sure they are open. Its a small mom and pop shop with only three tables. Its best to just order takeout and leave.

Best pupusas in town, and in the state. Really good. They also have some great platters that I also recommend.

Our last night in Palm Springs and we found this place and their papusas on DoorDash and decided that was the way to end our visit. We ordered bean, pork, beef, and shrimp papusas as well as a shrimp tostada. The shrimp tostada according to my friend was FREAKING AMAZING and she said she could have bathed in that sauce. The papusas were also awesome. Our favorite was the pork one but all were great. My only complaint was the curtido was bland and slightly disappointing. I wish it had more tang and flavor as that is one of my favorite things about papusas. Overall I’d recommend this location but temper expectations for the curtido.
