Had a delicious Branzino dinner with a Martini tonight. Great staff and beautiful view.

The view: phenomenal. The food: okay. I enjoyed my visit to Escena Grill. I stopped by at noon on a Saturday and was immediately seated. The outdoor view blew me away - I had a perfect view of the surrounding golf course and the mountains. The service was efficient, and the waiter checked in with my party frequently to make sure we were enjoying our visit. The food was just fine. It was a solid brunch but nothing too spectacular. I got the Escena Benedict with crab cakes. The English muffin was quite dry, but I did enjoy the addition of the crab cakes. The eggs were poached nicely, and I finished my entire plate. My friend who got the spinach omelet was not a fan and stated that the omelet was too dry for her liking. However, another friend ordered the breakfast sandwich and really enjoyed his meal. It seems like some dishes are definitely better than others. While the food was unspectacular, I was impressed by the peaceful ambiance of the restaurant and the beautiful views.

I really love going to this place because of the atmosphere and the views are unparalleled. I've always found the food to be mediocre to good. Today it was terrible. I ordered barbecue ribs, and they were just so awful and so dry. It was as if they were cooked six days ago and overcooked at that. I hate posting bad reviews but this experience today was one that makes me not wish to go back.

First, the plusses. We like the facility's especially the outdoor patio, and the staff are very friendly. However, on a Thurs night for our dinner, they ran out of hamburger and chicken. Who runs out of hamburger? This is not the first time we.ve had less than stellar service also. Good people but not enough of them.

This restaurant is getting two stars because of the lovely outdoor patio only. The mountains views are beautiful. However, service was slow, food was sub-par. I had an Italian salad that looked like it was assembled by a 5 year old. Romain lettuce, haphazardly chopped, some chick peas, a few paper thin slices of salami with a tiny amount of shredded cheese on top. The dressing came in a tiny ramekin. The portion size was very small. Price was outrageous for the portion size. I had to go home to eat again so I didn't feel hungry all night. This is the second time we've attempted to eat there. Both times we tried booking on Open Table. We attended in person the first time and were told there was no availability although we could clearly see there were at least 10 empty tables. Second time, we tried calling the restaurant directly with no one answering and no one returning our calls. We called the pro shop and whomever answered said she would take a message to the restaurant. We finally got a call back at 3pm. We were told a table had been booked on the patio. Again, when we arrived, 75% of the tables were empty. Open Table showed no availability. I will not go back. Food was terrible. The wait staff we encountered on both occasions were condescending. I hope all your revenue is generated through the golf course because your restaurant would never survive as a stand alone venue.

Management has improved dramatically, However service is still extremely slow..... I waited 40 minutes for a server to come to my table whom I actually had to call over, though he was very nice! Setting is AMAZING!!

The hostess was very accommodating and top notch. Our server was very slow. The restaurant wasn't that busy. Our food was sub par. Sourdough on sandwich was overly dry and the soup was luke warm at best. Waiter never came to check on the meal and when we finished we had to track down a bus girl to get our bill. We have been before and we will likely be back as Escena is usually better. Unfortunately on this visit we had brought friends from Canada for their first visit. They left less than impressed.

The food was delivered cold and the service was average. The setting was very nice and I rate the overall dining experience as good not excellent. For breakfast or brunch there are better choices available here in the area. May try again, but not one of my top three choices. Never ending Mimosa's were not very attentive. Atmosphere A+ but the rest Average.

Since I received a public set down over a review from the manager, please let me clarify his rude comments. First of all, there were seven of us, and we ALL did not have different items to eat. The five that had food poisoning all had braised short ribs. My husband, who is from New Zealand, where there are more sheep than people, was very disappointed with the lamb and its portions, and my daughter had the watery noodles with bland shrimp. (Please see other reviews made by other customers regarding her entree.) Since the cocktails that we ordered were your main drinks on your menu, you would think that they wouldn't need to taste them...and it was more than one of the bartenders tasting each of our drinks at the same time. Are your bartenders loaded at the end of every shift having tasted every single drink that they make? Your comment about us saying everything was fine, is false! We did complain to our waiter regarding the food, hence why we sent the lamb back, but told him it wasn't his fault since he wasn't the chef. While we appreciate the credit for it, which should have been done on the night of service, we don't appreciate being called liars. This is a public forum, and you have had many negative reviews and have replied to many of them in a rude and condescending way. The tardiness of our waiter could have easily been addressed the second that we sat down with him coming over to us and saying he'd be right with us. That did not happen. Your host could have said the same thing. I have owned two restaurants, and a manager arguing and replying in your manner says one of two things...you don't know the old adage of a customer is always right or you have to defend this because you know it's true.

This was my 3rd time eating at this restaurant. The food and ambiance is always so nice! Everyone is very friendly as well especially the host! Always greets us with a smile. I don't know his name though. We ordered the breakfast sandwich and the club sandwich and both delish!

Great view of the mountains from the patio. Service was average. Had server come by to check on us I might have ordered another drink or dessert, which would have upped the check (and the tip), missed opportunity.

I ordered the cauliflower pot pie which was absolutely delicious! I'm not a big meat lover so this dish is right up my alley. My husband got the rack of lamb which was fatty and undercooked. Wait staff didn't know what mint jelly was ??? Service was well below par. Our server first approached our table and words from his mouth as he greeted us were "what do you need?" An odd approach I felt, for a $28 to $42 entree-priced establishment. Then he brought us two draft beers which as he served my glass he spilled across the table. Shaky hand syndrome? Plenty of servers were present and I noticed many employees standing around not doing much to elevate diners' experience. Management needs to chime in here. Service is disappointing.

Nowhere near as good as it used to be. It's been a couple if years since my last visit and was pretty disappointed overall with this visit. Noisy and difficult to converse. Food was only so-so this time. Whoever's in charge of cooking the vegetables needs more practice....the common complaint from everyone in my group were the vegetables were hard and difficult to cut let alone eat. Service was slow and forgetful. Likely not to return any time soon if at all after this visit.

The view is unbeatable and the staff is always friendly, two good reasons to visit this restaurant.

Another perfect lunch at the Escena Grill. We had a table on the covered patio with a stunning view of the snow-capped mountains and the gold course. Our server was very nice and our lunch was terrific. We had one spicy chicken sandwich and two BBQ ribs. Of course, we added a bowl of the house chips. Best anywhere!
