Hair of the Dog

Been coming here off & on for years. More often than not the service is bad (served one drink in a 45 minute period, had two other patrons served before me while I waited and they walked in after). Mainly filled with racist boomers making horrible comments about natives, blacks, and the LGBTQ communities. One of the bouncers/doormen is also racist (IMO). Saw him yell at a group of hispanics when they played Mexican music and were having a good time, but does nothing when alternative music is played. I’ve never tried the food, so cannot comment on that. I never post reviews, but had to this time. Taking my business elsewhere and will not be back.

Stopped in as we passed by sat at the bar and quickly met Ashley. She made the best espresso martini. I then challenged her to make a green chartreuse drink, called the last word, she did not disappoint. She made it perfectly and is an amazing bartender. I would definitely come back here again when I’m visiting.

Best dive bar downtown with loads of screens, games and especially pool. They even have an Atari system.

Went with a group from out of town last evening and had a reasonably nice time, standard expectations for the bar team were met... So I don't know what happened to warrant it but about 5 minutes after last call, security/bouncer/etc began yelling at us to leave, high pitched whistles, etc- essentially herding us like cattle for the door- while half of us are trying to finish the drinks we were just sold and handed. I certainly understand wanting to close on time but it was a really terrible way to be treated after spending quite a bit of money and time there... I would have appreciated a more respectful approach, personally.
Wish them well, but will not be returning.

I've been here several times. Staff has always polite and courteous. Soccer is always on too! Some bad clients though. This wasn't one time, I'm kind of turned off by racist comments by customers

It's a pretty cool place. Despite being listed as an English pub, it's sort of a cool billiards hall with a bar. Not very dive-y as it's too open. Pretty spread out tables, for food and pool. TVs will be playing sports, this time it was The Euros. The restrooms are clean, stocked, and single-room. The service is friendly and the drinks are cold. The pool tables work good but the ATM may pose a bit of a problem, doesn't always work. I can't comment on the food, I didn't order any. I'd recommend this place.

The food was awful. No seasoning whatsoever. Even the French fries were terrible. I’ve had way better bar food other places, this was such a disappointment for what we payed.
