Love this restaurant! We shared the rack of lamb. Best lamb I ever had! The sides were also excellent. Also had the escargot which was delicious. The service was perfect, even on a busy night.

We had one of the best dining experiences we have ever had at Johannes in the more than 12 years we have been coming to Palm Springs! Our only mistake was waiting so long to experience such great food and service.

Dinner at Johannes was absolutely wonderful. We sat at the bar and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. I had the shrimp Johannes' with secret sauce (outstanding!) along with a delicious house salad the chef made for me. Tom ordered Mama's Schnitzel — one of our favorites — perfectly prepared and so comforting. The food was exceptional, the atmosphere warm and inviting, and the bartender and staff were friendly, attentive, and engaging. A truly lovely evening and a reminder of why Johannes remains one of our favorite dining experiences in Palm Springs.

The experience was overpriced; the details I expect for a $250 meal for two weren't there. The food was good, but not excellent. The cheese spatzle was greasy rather than creamy. The bacon in the jagerschnitzel sauce overpowered much of the other flavors. Small things like removing the huge wine glasses when we didn't order wine, would have made the table feel less cluttered.

One of the best meals we had in Palm Springs and the Sazerac was absolute perfection! We both had schnitzel, one traditional pork and mine was lemon caper. Wonderful portions and divine cuisine all around.

This was our second time at Johannes and it was the same wonderful experience as before. They gave us a nice corner table by the windows which was fun. The salads were great and we all the schnitzel. Always recommend this restaurant.

Wonderful food, creatively prepared. The place is very noisy and the service is mediocre for such a high-priced restaurant.

Nice spot in downtown Palm Springs with some traditional dishes with a creative twist. Delicious salads and excellent schnitzels. Decent wine list and cocktails. Friendly service and great atmosphere.

Great food! Typical Palm Beach crowd. Sit on the patio to people watch. I recommend all the seafood dishes!

Everyone says it's the best restaurant in PS, and so far I have to agree. I went with a friend who's been many times. We were seated indoors near the kitchen, and had nice interactions with the tables on either side. Server was charming and my friend's favorite. Schnitzel heavy menu with various Austrian specialties as well as what we used to call "New California cuisine." Everything was delicious. Service was perfect. Decent and well-priced wine selection. My only suggestion would be to perhaps add a few more bottles >$150, but wine inventory is expensive to hold. We ended up with an Austrian pinot noir that was delicious and quite reasonable. A great evening out. Highly recommend

Service was very slow, but it was busy, so that could be why. We waited 35 minutes between finishing entrees before we were given dessert menus. We wanted to molten cake with added another 20 minutes. It might have been nice to have that ordered at the beginning for timing.

Great food and cosy location, service is okay, especially the lady who brings the food have to be trained not to throw plates and cutlery on the table.
