Lappert's Super Premium Ice Cream - Palm Springs, CA

$12 small milkshakes... and dare I say worth it???

Buying ice cream is supposed to be an experience that brings joy, but the attitude of the staff was beyond rude. She should go home for the day if she didn’t want to be there.

The ice cream was decent and lived up to the recommendations of online reviews and influencers; although it wasn’t a “wow”.

This place had a line and had to find out why. There are tons of unique and good flavours of ice cream. They also will convert any ice cream to a milkshake or add 1/3 toppings to your ice cream like Oreo’s, MnM’s. I turned the one I ordered into a milkshake and was so good walking downtown. The place is small and isn’t the fastest but worth the wait.

WOWZA MY DATE WAS GREAT WITH THE SHAKE

Slightly underwhelming ice cream plus undisclosed card fees.

So I walked in during the afternoon. The space is narrow. There was a woman in there before me and had ordered shakes. The girl behind the counter asked me what I was getting and when I told her just a dole whip, when said she would get it from me right away and ring me up. It was tasty and bright like a sorbet. the flavor slightly changed towards the end of it and gave me a penny after taste so maybe the spout wasn't cleaned out correctly? It was the stuff in the bottom, so it came out first. Other than that it was really good. They had other premium ice cream flavors, but I went there specifically for the dole whip.
Verdict: RECOMMEND, but ask them when the machine was cleaned last.

One sample was enough to understand it’s not good quality ice cream. Lots of coloring and aftertaste like from some sort of powder and not real ingredients. Stay away.

A friend suggested we visit this ice cream shop because they have the Dole Pineappke soft serve, which I had and truly enjoyed. Will be back for more.
