Lasagna was not freshly made and was frozen in the center when brought to the table. Was not happy but the service was good.

Ugh, I really, really wanted to like L'Olivo Palm Springs especially because I was so happy to be in Palm Springs with my dining companion in the first place. Full disclosure, we wanted to go to a nearby restaurant but when the wait was upwards of 45+ minutes, we decided to try elsewhere and saw L'Olivo Palm Springs - who doesn't love Italian food...especially when I'm Italian :) The restaurant did not appear busy and the hostess was able to seat us right away. Unfortunately, things went downhill soon thereafter... We ordered two glasses of wine and the Ahi Tuna Tartare (ahi tuna, avocado, cucumbers, tomatoes, basil) and were enjoying each others company while we waited...and waited...and waited some more for our entrees to come out. Luckily, the Ahi Tuna Tartare was delightfully refreshing but grew old the longer we waited for our main courses. When my main dish finally arrived around 8:20pm, I was pleased with the portion size and taste. I ordered the Ravioli di Funghi (California mushrooms, marsala cream wine sauce) and I'm pretty sure I devoured the whole thing. I understand the service/restaurant industry is wildly short staffed but I really cannot fathom how it took over an hour to make two pasta dishes, appetizer notwithstanding. I know we were not the only table to wait (seemingly forever) because there were two other tables nearby who seemed just as painfully hungry. All this to say, I would try L'Olivo Palm Springs again but, unfortunately, it likely wouldn't be my first choice. Do note the food was delicious, service adequate (when present), and nice environment but the prices were a bit high for the wait time and overall experience...

Enjoyed the Italian food here very much. Had a pasta with vegetables and a salad and two glasses of wine. Reasonably priced great service

My wife and I enjoyed a pleasant meal on the patio just a bit below sidewalk level on North Palm Canyon Drive. Our waitress Hannah was friendly and pleasant and the service reasonable, but not brisk. None of the inside dining tables had patrons, only those on the patio. We each had a glass of red wine, me the Chianti and my wife the Zin. Both were enjoyable, but the glasses were large and thick stemmed, lacking the nice feel of a fine wine glass. We shared the walnut arugula salad that had a pleasant light dressing, but a bit too salty and heavy on the blue cheese. I was excited to see they offered whole wheat pasta, very difficult to find, but regrettably they were out of it when we were there. Instead, I ordered the vegetariano pasta on angel hair, that included a nice light olive oil sauce and many veggies. My wife had meatballs on linguini and was also quite happy. The desserts were perhaps the best, for me a tiramisu, of which I’ve had many. Theirs was light, tasty, and a nice flavor of coffee. But the most interesting was the carmel gelato that had a strong carmel flavor and lovely dense texture, unlike what I would normally expect from a gelato.

Lovely Waitress, very nice. Food was excellent ? though a bit expensive. My whole family enjoyed their meals. We will come again ?

Bravo !!! Italian restaurant can not bring out 1 pizza and 3 pastas within 1.5 hours. It takes 12 min to boil spaghetti and another 15 at most to put all together and pizza should not take more than 15 -20min in the oven while you are making pasta ! And worst of all there was no apology and was f... you attitude and careless service from waiters to chef . We went to dine with a family. 3 kids 4adults. Several tables were open however they asked us to come beck an hour later which we did , at 8.30 pm still only 2 couples outside and 2 inside were dining. Placed an order for 2 chicken soups , soup of the day , bruschetta and caprese tower as appetizers. For entrees 2 carbonara pastas , spaghetti with meatball and 1 pizza . After 55 min in to the order no one has come to the table and brought anything or apologize for long wait. After I asked ,10min later 2 chicken soups came with salads but not soup of the day. Asked if we can have bread basket which never showed up 85min in to order I asked how much longer it's going to be , lady standing in the kitchen yelled " nothing is ready yet we make all from scratch " . Seriously?

Decent Italian food in palm springs. Came on new years, and the staff was all very friendly but felt a bit new. Food came a bit slow, but it was new years so I'll give a pass on that, it looks like they do a LOT of takeout as well.Had vodka rose with fettuccine, bruschetta and scampi ravioli. Wine and food were well priced except for the ravioli. Unfortunately you only got ~7 raviolis with your meal which felt a bit light compared to the 24$ price tag. They were tasty, and the sauce was good but it could've used a few more ravioli for the price.

I really like L'Olivo on Palm Canyon in Palm Springs. The food is excellent and it is not overpriced like some of the other restaurants out there. I really do highly recommend L'Olivo for quality Italian food.

Everything was good! The server (owner?) said they make their own sauces, pasta, salad dressings and even spumoni! You can tell ... everything so flavorful. I had the excellent Caesar salad and the vodka rose sauce on linguine. Plenty of selection. Very nice wine list, too.

I want to give this restaurant a 5 star review. I've eaten here four times in 2 weeks because it has been so delicious. I'm giving a 1 star review in the hope the owner will fix my problem, because I drove over an hour to and from (2 hrs) rural Joshua Tree just for this food. There is no website. There is only a phone number, which doesn't pick up consistently. My order was wrong. It isn't easy to check right as you receive the takeout because it's tightly wrapped in plastic wrap to prevent sauce from spilling. There was never an issue before, so why expect one now? I ordered two orders of the vegetariana pasta with penne. There was a "veg" written on the top. Instead, it was something red with meat in it. I couldn't eat any of it, so for $34 and 2 hours of driving... Please fix the issue so I can get my pasta fix.

came here on our trip to Palm Springs and was not disappointed! We were walking around trying to find a place to eat, saw the menu and decided to go here! The menu didn't look like anything crazy, but the food... omg the food... amazing. We got the two specials they had and it was amazing! So fresh and yummy! The staff was so nice and it's a family owned restaurant! Very yummy, would eat here again

One of the less crowded restaurants on Palm Canyon, but nothing wrong here. Attentive service, good food, great atmosphere. Little pricey, but who isn't these days.

Nice restaurant, great ambiance, great location, great service, only thing is the food.Unfortunately the food was not good, not worth the price they are charging.Calamari not fresh, tastes like it was frozen, the same for the salmon. The lettuce was not crisp, borderline limp.Could be a fabulous restaurant if they had fresh food!

I didn't enjoy the food. The carbonara pizza was considered a house specialty, but it was almost inedible. The eggplant Parm wasnt good either, it was cut too thick and rubbery. I keep trying different Italian places in hopes of finding something decent, but no luck thus far.
