After a long (hot) day on the road, Pete's Hideaway was medicine: a cool, dark bar for grownups in need of a straightforward cocktail or bottle of beer. We had a great conversation with the bartender (whose advice proved impeccable as we continued north the next day), a delicious meal that tasted like home cooked in all the best ways, and a total tab that made us feel like we'd stepped back at least a few years in time. Five stars all around.

I usually come here every year during my summer break the spaghetti was always my favorite would always order the large. today it was 30 dollars and small portion and i asked the waitres if it be a large cause of the change in the menu she said yes and all the portions are the same the food was greesy the meat tasted over cooked like a burnt taste the diet coke was flat had no carbonationNever again now have to find another favorite restaurant

Pete’s is like drinking in your living room with friends. It’s a REAL neighborhood bar on steroids. You’ll meet so many great people, the drinks are amazing and damn.. the spaghetti is so good (homemade sauce). Go here for the great food, new friends, cocktails, live music… you’ll be happy.Parking: Plenty of free parking

Service was good, maybe we hit it at the wrong time but definitely felt that this is a locals place, not so much if you are from out of town.

Local spot to just chill and relax. Just remember the kitchen closes before the bar, so be there before 7pm if you want some food for sure (the waitress said the kitchen closes at various times). Very intimate and friendly vibes, live music when I went was excellent. You can drink, eat, dance, chitchat, hangout, all in your tshirt and shorts. Pete is so cool ????

Solo at the bar a couple times over the years. A long term PS establishment well kept secret among locals, somewhat off the beaten path but not too far south of the main action. Lots of Hollywood 20th Century memorabilia photos decorate the walls behind the bar and throughout. Last visit I had a grilled chicken Caesar salad & tonic water for under $20. I have had their fish and chips too.Live entertainment some nights. Always visited too early to catch the entertainment.

Over priced and slow service. Was charged $25 plus tax for a rib lunch special that was a 1/4 Rack with a small portion of mashed potatoes and half a piece of toast.Crazy !!!Was really taken advantage of.Had been there a few times in the past.Definitely will not be back and will not recommend to my friends. There are much better choices

For our last day/night on a trip to Palm Springs, we (four 60ish women) chose to enjoy a 5:30 PM Drag Queen show at Pete’s Hideaway. The show was really really fun, and the whole crowd loved every minute. It is not fancy (at all), but rather a small, well-worn, intimate spot that recalls clubs of yore: low ceilings, tight quarters, tacky but cool wallpaper, funky celebrity posters, and an amazingly friendly staff. Picture a neighborhood bar from the 1950s or 1960s and you’ll get the vibe. We absolutely adored the show and the fact that it was at Pete’s Hideaway just added to the charm of it all. What a FAB place!!!

Pete's is our Go-To place in Palm Springs for a quick meal, quick drink, great talk and a friendly vibe. The Kitchen is great. The Bartenders are the best. the Owner's care and make you know it. This is how it should be done. It's a tough business to be in just now. They've hung tough and will make it. They should. They've earned it. They have our respect and love. This is our home town place.

A warm and welcoming environment, the food was delicious! I highly recommend Wendy's meat loaf sandwich?! Wendy spent time talking with us and gave us a big hug when we left. Outstanding business!

There's a whiff of stale when you enter the premises..so I chose the table closest to the door.Menu thrown my way..so were the utensils when the dinner salad was served.Bartender who took care of me was nice, offered a refill. My pasta was delicious. Usually Alfredo sauce is basically cream with some cheese added..no flavor.Plenty of flavor in their version.
