This is nice restaurant and offers good variety of food. It is big and with lots of space. This restaurant is actually at the place where tram reaches at the top of hill. Nice view of city from the deck. We reached there at evening. It was dark so couldn’t explore much outside but view was very beautiful.

After paying $15 to park, then another $31/person to ride the tramway, I should have realized the money grift didn't end there. Forty bucks for an 8-slice pizza! I realize it's at the top of a mountain but how much markup is going on here.We ended up getting two slices of pizza and four chicken tenders.. no drinks... about $25 with tax. Tenders were ok, pizza slices were on the smallish side.Last time I visited, albeit over 20 years ago, you could purchase a nice sit down meal with your tramway ticket. The cost was quite reasonable to add the meal and it was really high quality food. I think they only have a meal option on the last trams of the day.

It's a lot of expense for very little food or selection. I recommend do the ride and dine option it can save you some money but choices are small.

When you purchase the tram ticket and dining package, this is where you eat. Food is steam-table quality. Pretty basic.

If you're interested in overpriced food that's very, very uninspired and not particularly tasty, then this is the place for you. Perhaps because of the location they feel they can get away with highly uninspired presentations and food but it didn't fool us for one minute. For a $100 lunch we expected a little bit more. Please do yourself a favor, buy a snack, then go to downtown Palm Springs and get a really good meal.

We bought the ride and dine option. Great way to go IMHO. We enjoyed a small salad, a hot bun, a slab of delicious ribs, veggies and potatoes- massed or fingerlings. It also came with a drink to wash it all down. Anywhere else in PS and you would have paid double the $. For the price and the scenery it is hard to whine.

After taking an amazing tram ride to the top, my sisters and I decided to eat lunch at the Pines Cafe. The food at the bar looked WAY better. If you want food - eat at the bar.

Terrible food, kept warm in steam trays. Stick with the pre made cold sandwiches.

They have Avery Brewing Company - White Rascal Beer :)

The food is not that great. You're better off going ala carte, but if you do the ride & dine package, skip the lasagna and rice and double up on the protein. Or bring a picnic lunch!
