We were in Palm Springs celebrating a friend's birthday. Driving the boulevard, the birthday girl chose this place. It was nice for the occasion. The food was okay.

We were excited to visit this restaurant during our stay here in Palm Springs. We were sat inside and waited 15 minutes and a server never came to greet us. The table sitting directly next to us was greeted received their drinks and food and still no one even stopped to say hello. When we got up I told the server who was serving the table next to us that we were leaving and why her response was sarcastic and rude and the host was not help either. Don’t get sat in the corner, it’s likely you’ll be ignored.

My fiancee and I had been walking around the area, window shopping for hours and decided we wanted to get something good to eat and thought perhaps an 'old school ' steakhouse vibe might suit us. This place looked like it's been here for a while and THOUGHT that would mean it's good food. Wrong.Let me first state that the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I mean, REALLY kind. Almost like they knew you were making a mistake choosing this restaurant and wanted to make up for it.So after a glance at the menu, we knew we were paying for P.S. prices. We didn't mind, so long as it's worth it. It so very, very much wasn't worth the price.Keep in mind, any time I pay over $130 for a two person meal, I expect it to be pretty damn good. I'm from Seattle, so I know expectations are different in various areas. But still...I ordered the Veal Picatta. It wasn't horrible, but clearly frozen meat, with a sauce that can be best described as lacking flavor of any kind. My veggies were steamed to incredible limpness with absolutely NO SEASONING at all. I mean, ZERO seasoning. My fiancee ordered the NY Steak. It arrived with the right cook and good crust. However, the demi wasn't very tasty. Her veggies were just as awful as mine.I began to wonder if I walked into a retirement home. I suppose I should have clocked the fact that most of the other customers were either retiree's or drunken "woo girls" like the ones at the table next to us.I would like to reiterate that the staff were great, honestly, really great. But your kitchen staff are living in decades long past. Considering what we paid for this "meal" I have to say we were INCREDIBLY disappointed.I honestly hate to leave bad reviews, but people need to be warned that the $45 steak you are buying (one of the cheaper ones) or whatever, is just not worth it. The prices match the neighborhood, but are NOT consistent with the food here.Hard pass people.

Hi folks, looking for excellent seafood in Palm Springs? Look no further. My wife and I dined here for the first time last night and it was amazing. I've had seafood from Seattle to San Diego, Provincetown to Key West and here I was In the desert of all places and relished the most delicately prepared shellfish, it was superb. I don't go hunting for the chef often but I had to find him and tell him he is crushing it! His name is Nick. The ambience is very nice too. The server was attentive and cheerful. Be sure to try one of their delicious martinis I had one called Boston cream pie. Wow. I will most definitely be back! Highly recommended

Not that impressed. My recommendation is to stay away from the Surf and Turf. For a $120 meal, you would think that the chef would have put a little more effort and care into it. I ordered the steak medium, however, it was somehow cooked rare in places, medium rare in others, and a corner was well done. The lobster was chewy, possibly under cooked, and the potatoes were hard. I feel like this meal was Denny's quality with Morton's prices.

This is one of my favorite places in Palm Springs! From the food, to drinks, to the friendliest service! Ambiance is romantic and cozy, day or evening! Their drinks are not washed out and all that we have tried are amazing and original! BEST spot to visit! Danny (the owner) thank you for keeping consistency & being so welcoming! Definitely will be back!

Very disappointing dinner at Riccio's. The sea bass piccata special was overcooked and tasteless and came with undercooked potatoes and boiled to mush broccoli and carrots. There was a pool of water on my plate from the vegetables. When this was pointed out to our server, Jamie, she said "oh juicy vegetables"??? The others in our party thought their food was extremely underwhelming and tasteless. Do yourself a favor and avoid Riccio's!

Live here in Palm Springs and have never given them a try. Dinner was very good. I had the lamb special and it was very good ,but over cooked for lamb. We will be back to try more of there menu.

Food was delicious but it took an hour for it to arrive. When we asked when our order was coming, our waiter seemed offended. When it did arrive, our food was very good. This restaurant is in a nice location and the menu is excellent. I would go back but the waiter I had could have been nicer about the wait,

Don't let the name fool you, this is not only a steak and seafood restaurant, but also a classic Italian restaurant. We've owned a second home in PS for 30-+ years, and pride ourselves on our desert restaurant knowledge so I'm ashamed that only this year is when we discovered Riccio's. There are a number of good Italian restaurants in the Coachella Valley, but after dining here a goodly number of times and trying out a number of the dishes, I'd rank Riccio's in the top three. Everything is fresh. Great service. The recipes are right out of the mother country. Cannelloni is delicious with a wonderfully fresh marinara sauce. Spaghetti bolognese to die for. One of the few places in the desert you can get an ahi steak, and the quality of the seafood is really excellent. Wife loves the chicken marsala, loaded with mushrooms floating in a delicious sauce. We are not steak people, but I'd be willing to bet they're great. Portions are generous . All the help is gracious and helpful. Is it pricey? Yes, and worth every penny of it. Great wine list, too.
