We visited Palm Springs for the weekend and visited several of the high end dining spots. The atmosphere here was the best thing about it. However, the food was the most disappointing. We spent the most here for diner, without drinks and liked the food the least.

The setting is gorgeous, very moody and romantic. The food was delicious and our server, Rachel, was very friendly and professional and even gave us a little tour of the attached hotel.

This is a beautiful restaurant with the best outdoor patio dining in Palm Springs. The staff is so friendly and always offering great service. Kelly, the restaurant manager is incredibly kind and thoughtful. The food is also excellent and perfectly prepared. We can't wait to go back!

Incredible experience. Incomparable outdoor setting. Fresh ingredients, creative menus, expert preparation. Cocktails were similarly creative and well executed. A bit pricey but still good value for money.

As others have mentioned (& I should have heeded their warning) while Sop.pa is a lovely outdoor restaurant the condescending attitude that permeates the staff is baffling and makes for a very unpleasant experience. So many other reviews on here have mentioned that, one might think management would take notice and perhaps do some training - especially for the prices they charge. The manager made it clear from the minute we checked in that the restaurant was designed for hotel guests and we were lucky to be eating there (even warned us not to disturb the other guests). What a way to start a meal, so awkward. Our server was quite friendly, but we found each of the dishes to be very average. The fish was overcooked, the roasted chicken was dry and the basque cheesecake far too sweet. We have no problem paying high prices for good food and service - but nothing delivered here. Why don’t they open the restaurant to hotel guests only? And if they opt to open to the general public, then don’t treat your guests like a nuisance. We’re very experienced in fine dining and have found if anything the service is much warmer and hospitable the nicer the restaurant. So.pa is in desperate need of a change. For the money, I’d eat at Workshop instead

Kelly and the staff at Sopa are nothing short of outstanding in every way. While Palm Springs has many fantastic restaurants, Sopa is about as an elegant, laid-back California experience you can get. Oh, and the food is sophisticated and a real treat. The night I dined there they were out of black truffles for the black truffle risotto. Kelly substituted with the caviar and lobster risotto at no additional charge. That is second to none in terms of customer care. The atmosphere also mesmerizing. Beautiful courtyard, perfect lighting and just a fantastic vibe. I generally speaking handout compliments like manhole covers, but I'll make an exception for Sopa and Kelly

This restaurant had an amazing elegant atmosphere, the warmth of the fireplace with the greenery surrounding gave it such a peaceful, wonderful place to dine. We really enjoyed the cocktails. We also enjoyed the food. It was presented in a very beautiful way and was delicious. The service was also impeccable.

Lovely restaurant with fantastic service. Try the tomato salad. I had the stuffed rainbow trout. My husband had the sea bass. I usually do not order fish because I'm so fussy about it, but the waiter raved when he recommended that dish, and he was right - delicious! Refreshing cocktails, nice wine list. Beautiful, intimate setting. Polite, professional, attentive staff. We had a perfect evening!

Our server, Colton was outstanding as was the support staff. We went early for a drink and were met by Kelly the GM of the restaurant and pool bar. He gladly showed us to the pool bar before dinner. Kelly was very kind and so knowledgeable about the hotel and dinner. He's a great ambassador for L'Horizon. We will be back!

This is my new fave restaurant in Palm Springs & the whole desert... Great value for the outstanding quality of the food. Amazing ambiance & excellent, attentive & knowledgeable service. Beautiful night even though the weather was not the best that evening.... The restaurant was not adversely affected. GO, even if not staying the the adjacent hotel!

SOPA is one of our favorite restaurants and we dined here twice the week we were in Palm Springs. The food is consistently good, but more important the staff is outstanding. They are friendly, fun, and excellent at what they do. They go above and beyond. We will always return here when we are in the area. Thank you SOPA!
